The Ultimate Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi Real Vintage Parts Lightsaber Group

That is accurate, last complete I saw for sale was right around that price.

I always thought the grenade was the hardest part to find, boy was I wrong

I honestly don’t know the going rate for grenades? I’ve seen

Male balance pipes (converted) 750
Clamps 150-180
Sink knobs 250-400
Boosters 1500euros
Grenades ??
Calculator 250

Are these prices accurate?

Edited with better quotes from owners 10/19/18

Balance pipe (male): 1000-1500
Balance pipe (female): 1500+
Clamps: 150-180
Boosters: 1500 euros (1800 US dollars)
Grenades: 2000 (good condition)
Sink knob: 250-400
Calculators: 250
Resistors: cheap enough to not have to worry about

If by ’resistor’ you mean ‘transistor’ (and possibly even ’op amp’), I’d be a taker for the ‘Balance pipe female:’ at the lower extremis of that price range...

Not that I’m not thankful.

It will be interesting to see how much commodities, even vanishingly rare ones like these, relax back to, in our current climate.

Stay safe, everyone. I’m not sure that, “ May the Force be with you...” could have meant much more than it does nowadays...

So hard costs IF, and that’s a big if, you can source all the parts, are ballparked at $6,000 USD.
I suppose the $10K USD figure accounts for the legwork: Antique stores, flea markets, calls to arms dealers, UK plumbers, and aviation graveyards- sleepless nights pouring over the Internet, the inevitable call to Rolls Royce and of course friendships made across the globe to make the dream real. Here’s hoping I don’t have to sell mine off.

That should be our kids problem, for sure!

Continuing the gigantic OB1 build. I believe this is a couple feet across.

Hello guys,
I hope you are all doing well despite the situation :)

I'm looking for a stand to display my semi-vintage BenKenobi saber, and I wanted to know how you guys are displaying your pride and joy.
It may be the occasion to make it a feel good thread with all your beautiful pics

Very good question, I sure am excited to see pictures!

Hey everyone!

I was feeling nostalgic for some of the history that happened on this very forum in regards to this saber. I dug up these three threads but couldn't find the grenade find! Anyone have a link or story on how that happened? Even though most all of the photos are long gone the threads are a good read :)

I remember when I was first researching this saber reading the back and forth about the motorcycle grip and how it had to be the answer, and doing a fair bit of eBay trolling to find a suitable motorcycle grip.

Until I get something better, I'm using my stand & acrylic cover for my eFX Luke Reveal. Obviously the signature is fake, but I like it, & had it made for my Romans Obi. I do have a rea one, but the photo that it's

attached to won't fit under the acrylic cover.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading (in some thread or another) that discovery predates this version of the RPF. Might have been back when it was on ezboard.

Well ok i think its time i posted my silver lining. I have been waiting for everything to come in but sadly it looks like the hidders are lost in the mail. Luckily these were not and arrived the beginning of last month after patiently waiting since December of last year when i made the deal. And i am happy to say it was a pretty amazing deal i managed to pull off.

Unfortunately I never made a notation about who made the case/stand and who made the plaque (I never seem to remember to do that), but they were both from members here on the board.

When I eventually get around to updating/upgrading my OS saber collection I plan to go with vertical cradles and line them up in a row and have a case made for that. And I'll ditch the plaque idea altogether.
