The show your custom BLASTER thread!

Milliput - I've been using Aves Apoxie Sculpt with similar results, it's so useful this putty. I am sincerely impressed at the blending job of the panels to the trigger guard. Fooled me into thinking you replaced or covered all of that with another piece.
To avoid using so much of the Milliput, especially under the barrels, I crunched up aluminum foil and packed it in as tight as possible to use it as a filler then applied the putty on top. Worked great. --Ed

Just finished this one up for a friend.

Converted NERF gun. The flashlight is real. The rest is printed resin parts and paint.
Not screen accurate of coarse, but a fun build... especially the test firing!

I love it too. It does look a bit too long, like only by an inch or two, and I think design wise it's because the grip is straight and not angled like a Sterling

This is nitpicking though. The kobold scope, the graflite rear, camera grip and T track barrel make this perfect for the OT

Hahaha!

SethS, man I love it! Very cool custom blaster!

It's like an earlier version of the DH-17. Like, a DH-15, or something.

It makes me think of the Colt 1905 compared to the 1911...

Still a work in progress, but I’m modeling an alternate version to the Mandalorian’s Bergmann blaster. (I just like the original bird’s head grip so much.)

If anyone has dimensions for the Bergmann, I’d be happy to have them. I’m worried I’ve made the body too thick.

I'll add my meager customs to the thread.

My Double Eagle DL44, last shot was pre-weathering but I apparently didn't get that side afterwards. All made from a $8 plastic C96. a $6 scope. and a $12 Evike flash hider. Used some alluminum stock, old video card heatsinks, some old circuit board bits and an electric strike mounting brace

Next my custom rifle for my Mando kit. Built from a cheap G36c I snagged on Ebay for $15, an original CMET-C handguard and AK stock. Just got the evike flash hider today and it's rainy so haven't finalized paint yet. Used a broken red dot for the scope, some old relays and relay mount, took an old flashlight to make a "Single point scope" and lastly some bits from inside an old busting mouse ;)

Here's a custom blaster I recently made, based off of the Walther MPL machine pistol.
I bought this 1st Gen Airsoft gun back in 1986.
The fore-stock is from a Nerf water gun, and the scope is cobbled binocular parts.
The "heat sink" in the mag well is plexi sheeting sandwiched and glued, before a resin DL-44 flash hider was attached.
I painted with two tones of dark metallic paint, then did some light passes with Rub n Buff.

The snubby DL blaster is a resin part kit, attached to a vintage solid cast metal Mauser prop, that had it's barrel snapped off. I built it in '16 after being re-energized to prop making after seeing "Rogue One"

updated my progress. Still waiting on lenses to fix the tri-barrel's scope and I made all that sloppy putty look more like welds - I am not happy with it though. The half size - chinese 1896, I think I have an appropriate amount of greebles. What do I know? I am working on my weathering and base paint. remember I am very new to this.

Quite an old thread but this is something I have been working on lately, was inspired as no blasters I can find from any of the films have ever been based on a 1911. I'm trying to achieve an OT feel. Has anyone else built a blaster on a 1911 base? Anyone have any recommendations on further greebling? like I said it's still much a WIP.

After some encouragement, Ive decided to show you all 3 custom blasters that Ive created using vintage air guns.

The first--a heavy blaster rifle-is based on a Kodiak pump action paintball gun. The scope is a vintage Weaver with base, and ive kit bashed it completely with parts found in my junk drawer. The stock was made from a 2x6.

The second is a light carbine, made from an American Classic .177 cal pellet pistol. This time i used an air gun scope, and added a muzzle tip made from a paintball expansion chamber.

The third is a sporting blaster, which I fashioned from a Daisy co2 pistol. The "scope" is a tank fitting from a paintball gun, i 3d designed and printed the scope mount and the muzzle tip us a salvaged bolt component from a paintball gun.

I especially love that first one. Fantastic job.

I especially love that first one. Fantastic job.
I expect to do more work to the other two, but the first one got the majority of my attention because it was the first such project Id done and I wanted to put EVERYTHING on it.

Im thinking of making a different furniture set for the second one, and possibly a folding stock. The pistol will spend most of its time in a holster.
