The show your custom BLASTER thread!

Thanks Ed!

I often think of your old Bergman-style blasters, and had the biggest grin when The Mandalorian's Bergman-inspired blaster was revealed.
Thanks! I know what you mean. I always thought the Bergman would be a cool blaster and was very happy to see they used it on the Mandalorian!!! --Ed

I like it! I'm not sure how I feel about the double scopes. Not saying it's bad... just need to let it grow on me, I guess. i get the concept of multiple range use optics, but i guess I'd have maybe gone for a pair that weren't so similar in size and shape, so that it'd be obvious that the were meant for different ranges and not merely redundant.

Again, not dragging it. I prolly just need to look at it a bit and let it grow on me :)

So you're not OK with Chewie's bowcaster then? ;):p

Honestly, as I seem to recall (though it's been a VERY long time) back when I first put it together, I couldn't decide which scope to use... plus, with only one it didn't look quite "right." I thought I'd try both, and it made it look a bit more interesting (in my opinion). YMMV

Dr Evizan's version of the SE-14 has two as well...

In some weird way, I never thought the scopes on Star Wars blasters are actually scoops. You never see anyone actually use them. I always just assume they are just some spacey blaster whosits part.

This is my custom blaster that i based off of the Starr Revolver, added an a180 barrel, a mandalorian inspired thing on the bottom of the grip, a DE-10 inspired gas tube, and some greeblies on the side near the back based off of Cobb Vanth's blaster from the mandalorian tv show. Currently its only a 3d model but I hope to get it printed someday.

Hello again all! I am posting this to get some creative feedback. I've been working on this particular blaster for about a year and a half as a "What if.." of what my side arm would look like in the SW universe. And its been finished, stripped, re-built and re-painted a dozen times until I finally came to something that felt like it suited me personally. I'm quite happy with it in this config other than I plan to age and weather the grips. However it feels like it could use something else. Maybe some more greeblies? I've thought about a scope, but I quite like the idea of a non-scoped, more "Mandalorian", gunslinging side arm. It also remains functional as I use it actively in airsoft. Anyone have any suggestions? Any thoughts?

*Edit:
I added a few more photos as the lighting with the black background didn’t really do the paint justice in my opinion. I mean I’m no master and it definitely could be improved but I did work at it a while, so tried to represent it best I could.

Honesty I think this looks pretty great! The only thing I would maybe add is some kind of brass detail. Something like the “sight rod” on the left side of the Blade Runner blaster, but brass of course.

Here is my lastest custom blaster, based on a metal M16 with real scope, X300 flashlight and HK shoulder stock. Built with aluminum barrel shrouds and two of FM‘s DH17 tips

I always loved the double barreled E22 as well as the DH17 design. My idea was to combine those two and make a new rebel blaster rifle for either close or medium range combat...let‘s call it the DH-34 ;)

here is it shown with the other two customs I‘ve built (DL variant still a WIP). Thanks for looking :)02A8B3DF-39C4-4AA8-B4A3-1AF05FEE52E7.jpeg181B3D87-8D0D-4205-8976-6B39638E7295.jpegD0B35950-E345-4F60-B53F-319A52A92B5E.jpeg5A293964-5029-49E2-9D1B-56B1B6D56181.jpegBDA2CEE1-101E-4A5D-877A-06F1F3E19275.jpeg

Outstanding work!

Here are some unpainted shots of my custom blaster! I do have thoughts of adding a scope option after seeing some of the others on here...
