So Art-- I need an honest opinion, lol

I was just about to go take pics when I noticed 'one entry per person', damnit....

See-- I made two costumes that I'm really proud of, so basically, what do you all want to see: Batman or Scoprion? ;)

I would go with Scorpion, but then I am a big Scorpion fan!

Ok, getting my entry ready and I have a question:

Regarding the "one photo" rule... since cutting in a background is ok, would it also be ok to have a picture showing the entire costume on one side and then smaller inserts with details of the costume on the other? (for example, if the costume has a special feature that really doesn't show in a full-body photo) To clarify, it would still be ONE image/JPG.

I have the same question......

We hear a lot of people say they don't post build threads because they don't feel like their work compares to some of the stuff they see on the RPF. I say pppppffffttt! No matter how good any of us get, there will always be someone we look up to in awe. Even people we consider masters look up to someone else. Just because you aren't at the same level as some people doesn't mean we don't want to see what you have! Show it off!

With that being said, I am very glad you submitted your entry to the contest!

I submited mine today, I never made a build thread of my costume on the RPF because I never thought I could even compare to alot of the builds I see on the RPF but I bit the bullet and went for it, so hopefully I will get some votes:angel

That is fine. We just won't post over one photo per person and keep in mind that the photos will probably be scaled down to no more than 800 pixels wide.

So is it 800 pixels wide or (as said in your initial post) not more than 800 pixels on any side? Maybe my English just fails me and there is no difference between the two statements. :$ I scaled my picture down to 472x800 pixels. Is that correct, or could I have submitted the picture with 800x1356 pixels? In that case I'd like to re-submit...

Sure, making it smaller is no problem. But making it larger after I submitted it too small? :rolleyes Please let me know how large the picture can be and if I can re-submit my picture. Thanks!

Sure, you can resubmit. It shouldn't be larger than 800 px on any side.

Ok, I just looked at the rules.... and I'm not for sure what I can do for the proof photo. I just saw where you had to be holding the paper or have the RPF on the computer screen in the background. I've got my photos but my costume is already back in storage. Is there anything else you can do for proof?

You have to email them to the address at the beginning of this thread.

If you can do anything to prove it is you... that is all we are looking for. We just don't want anyone picking a random costume picture off the internet and entering it into the contest. If your costume doesn't cover your face, just send in a proof pic of you with the RPF in the background. As long as we can somehow see it is you, we are good.
