They might, that sounds very familiar. Not sure if they're the same company right now

I mention this as I've literally just bought, this afternoon, an old, one piece, sea fishing rod. From the whipping just above the grip I'm measuring 18mm to 10mm at 34" or 9.6mm at 36". So very similar to these antennae. I haven't done any cutting as of yet so don't know if it's tube or solid. I suspect tube. Seems pretty robust & good flexibility. Of course doesn't have the molded in flare to the base attachment. But then it only cost me £4.
It does hint that they might be using similar basic tube though ?

Very much used. Discovered that technically it's a 2 piece joined in the grip. No idea how old but nowhere near new, lots of corrosion on the metal parts. No brand name or any labels or writing of any sort.
Measures stripped are: 19.7mm just in front of the metal base; 6.4mm at the tip; 1.57m (62") inc the metal end.
It's way too light for solid. Bigger taper than the CX-4 but still not a bad substitute. Keep your eyes open in second hand shops etc.

The blade on Sansweet‘s saber doesn‘t look like a vintage HMP CX-4 to me. On the other two pics the blade is short, perhaps it is broken off at some point?
Can you stage a photo at the same kind of position as the kid in that picture, see if I can do some photoshop overlays?
Just to help us try and find an alternative to your HMP
