I can do that next week, when I‘m back from vacation.
can you attach that again?
can you attach that again?
if it's the diagonal one, that's Steve Sansweet's that he claims is screen used, but really looks like a Don Bies type made after, with a couple things from lucasfilm
The blade on Sansweet‘s saber doesn‘t look like a vintage HMP CX-4 to me. On the other two pics the blade is short, perhaps it is broken off at some point?
Amphenol Procom CXL 2-1 is 16mm at base, too small for the ones we're looking for, FYI
Actually you bring up another good point. it looks a LOT like the Planet hollywood saber. Same weird T track piece, same lever in the same weird position, same type of box, though smaller, and the shroud is similar but smaller in dimensions.I've been trying to figure that saber out for a while now... It doesn't resemble the Bies stunts since those are all casts of the Energizer according to Seth's guide
" In 1995, Lucasfilm provided Fox with 18 Darth Vader costumes for various promotional tours and events. The lightsabers that accompanied these costumes were all resin casts of the original Bunny saber. " I believe there are 4 or 5 of those 18 that we have pictures of. (unless these date before 1995)
Sansweet's saber only resembles the Planet Hollywood one:

(not my image)
And all the details don't even mach this one either.
Anyhow, great research going on in this thread! I love it!
I‘m pretty sure I‘ve seen a similar saber on another display Vader around 1992, when they were promoting the opening of PH restaurants here in Germany.Actually you bring up another good point. it looks a LOT like the Planet hollywood saber. Same weird T track piece, same lever in the same weird position, same type of box, though smaller, and the shroud is similar but smaller in dimensions.
Does this help? Can you stage a photo at the same kind of position as the kid in that picture, see if I can do some photoshop overlays?
Just to help us try and find an alternative to your HMP
Does this help?

My aluminum inner cores and the outer rings for the antenna blades are still not ready yet.
I have just noticed that my second vintage HMP CX-4 antenna is about an inch shorter compared to my other one.
Vadermania that looks so good! It really looks the part - I can't wait to see Halliwaxes comparison to the Glomex or the screen used ones
So, folks, things are really screwed up for the PO here in the states too, PSA to lengthen your expectations and be flexible. The same disappearing package situation happened with my latest antenna order too.
Weirdly enough, yesterday I called the California station about the other one, who claimed he probably never dropped it off, only for it to appear as found, and "out for delivery" today
