Evenin all,
Thanks for your comments my friends, appreciate you stopping by

Lots of faffing about with design elements that always makes me feel i haven't accomplished much.
But here goes,

And were off.
Front wing, after lots of attempts this is what i ended up with, shape wise

Picture%2520085.jpg

Marked it out on 1.5mm styrene sheet

Picture%2520086.jpg

Cut it out,

Picture%2520087.jpg

Cleaned it up,

Picture%2520088.jpg

Split it up into its core elements,

Picture%2520091.jpg

Using 1.5mm tubing as my transition piece, stuck it back together with some angles

Picture%2520093.jpg

Filled with squadron green,

Picture%2520101.jpg

Sanded and with some edge profile work done

Picture%2520105.jpg

Quick squirt of primer

Picture%2520107.jpg

Decided it looked better flipped around so i then added the front elements

First with 'H' cross section piece

Picture%2520111.jpg

Then with tube

Picture%2520112.jpg

Then a piece of 'U' and a piece of half round on the tip

Picture%2520114.jpg

Then it was filled, squadron again

Picture%2520115.jpg

Sanded

Picture%2520116.jpg

Here you can see the cross section of all the different pieces

Picture%2520124.jpg

And then some more precice shaping on all edges

Picture%2520123.jpg

Picture%2520122.jpg

Picture%2520119.jpg

Came up with an idea for the attachment to the nose using tube that i will shape all fancy with sheet and filler later

Picture%2520129.jpg

Tube bent and glued

Picture%2520133.jpg

Filled,

Picture%2520140.jpg

Sanded,

Picture%2520142.jpg

Added some 'T' section on the ends, next thinking about more wing elements and the end plate
And thats where i'm at,

Picture%2520144.jpg

Picture%2520150.jpg

Thats me done, till next time

Take care

Lovely work always - its such a simple element that you have given a beautiful dynamic to! a really graceful shape. I love this build and cant wait to see what happens next!

Evenin All,

Wow, thank you so much guys for the positive vibes man, we're looking groovy baby.

Enought of that,

Swazbeenoccurin then.
Slow, and I mean, Sloooooooow progress lately

Returned to the front wing to add a couple of end plates

Picture%2520151.jpg

Picture%2520152.jpg

Picture%2520155.jpg

Picture%2520158.jpg

Made some small outer end plate elements

Picture%2520161.jpg

Picture%2520162.jpg

After much filling with super glue and using baking soda as a filler ended up with these

Picture%2520171.jpg

Picture%2520172.jpg

Picture%2520176.jpg

Finished

Picture%2520178.jpg

And dry fitted

Picture%2520182.jpg

Picture%2520189.jpg

Then i moved on to the rear wing, the design is just a larger version of the front to start with, we will remove and add as we go.

Basic design

Picture%2520192.jpg

Cut out the basic shape

Picture%2520193.jpg

Separated

Picture%2520194.jpg

Picture%2520198.jpg

"tube" one adjoining edge,

Picture%2520196.jpg

Attach to the tube, your next piece in the wing sequence

Picture%2520201.jpg

and the next

Picture%2520202.jpg

Picture%2520203.jpg

Tube one side and mark ready for a hinge assembly

Picture%2520204.jpg

Picture%2520206.jpg

I then moved on to the rear of the main body, put some spacers to fix the gap width of the side pods

Picture%2520209.jpg

Picture%2520208.jpg

Improved the rear underside central profile

Picture%2520211.jpg

Picture%2520213.jpg

Started work on the upper rear profile

Picture%2520215.jpg

Picture%2520217.jpg

Added the first skin to the top of the engine exhaust fairings

Picture%2520221.jpg

Picture%2520222.jpg

Picture%2520224.jpg

And that's about it,

See you soon

take care

Thanks Mikey,

They've changed our computer privilages at work so no more random surfing, booo hissss, haven't been around as much lately

When i get to the bench i model not so much surfing at the mo.

But i do have a big project planned for the new year so i must finish this before then, maybe even before the Orlando thing in September
