I wasn't happy with the length of the lock, it didn't make real good contact. I am having new locks made and will mail them out when I receive them.

The new lock will be the default for any new orders.

This is just too cool. I mean, not just the prop, but the design and getting it to work/function. Did you figure this out yourself? Engineering this must have been crazy. Hat's off to you (and I don't even wear a hat).

I'm definitely going to be ordering one of these soon. Just too nifty to pass up.

Yep. I made a manual flap version a couple years ago. You had to take each flap and open it with your fingers. It took the better part of that 2 year gap on a back burner in my mind to come up with a design that would be 3D printable and still work right. There have been a few glitches, but mostly in the file preparation and upload to Shapeways. Those have been worked out now.

My resin printer broke down, I haven't been able to fix it, so I just bought a replacement resin printer. Version 3.0 of the key may be available soon if I can get the new printer up and running.

Closer. I have remodeled my room, including pulling up the old carpet, moving the bed, and putting in new furniture.

Since my room has been torn apart for some time now, my printers have not even been available to use during this time.
