The Mandalorian (TV series)

Presumably. Though, to be fair, there are plenty of other possibilities... if it turns out the article is right about the actor, but wrong about the character. lol

exactly.. i can't believe they let ahsoka out of the bag... and now this guy? maybe they are using him as a front and he's going to be..

since they have Ahsoka, maybe he's playing Capt Rex...

This thing is adorable. I hated the pre-production/prototype images, but now I regret not getting one. My daughter would LOVE it. Hopefully the animatronic one is as cute. That one I do have pre-ordered.

As for the spoiler, God I hope not. I mean, they've done a very good job thus far, I just don't know that I believe in where they could go with that.

Well... FWIW, a few sites are reporting it as fact.

I go to check sources, & they all say "sources report", but aren't naming anyone specific. Even though their click-baity headlines explicitly say 'EXCLUSIVE: X WILL PORTRAY Y IN THE MANDALORIAN SEASON 2'.

Just thought I'd add this.

Watching the BTS episode today, it suddenly dawned on my thick brain a parallel between Mando & the Child that I completely missed.

I think we all caught that Mando was picked up & then whisked away by a Death Watch member, then we see him do the same with the Child.

Today, I noticed that when we first see the Child, he's in the crib thingy, about to be shot by a droid, then the droid is killed by his surrogate father, & the Child reaches up.

Duh...

It's the exact same thing that happened to Mando in his fully revealed flashback.

Most probably caught that, but it was a revelation to me that made me love the care & attention to this show even more.

Not gonna bother with spoiler tags at this point since anyone can put 2 and 2 together from the previous posts. Im thinking it has to be Rex. Temeura is about 60 now, close to proper age for an age-accelerated clone. Boba by this point is what, 40 years old? And have you seen Temeura sporting the bald look? Add a white beard and hes the spitting image of
Rebels Rex. Granted though he could still play Boba if the helmet never came off and it was just voiceover.

I just hope all these supposed characters (Ahsoka, Boba Fett, Rex, possibly Bo Katan) don't overshadow Mando and the child. Those characters need to remain the core of the narrative, season 2 shouldn't feel like a sequel to Rebels.

Oh great. I guess Filoni couldn’t get it out of his system with two TV shows and a revival of the first for a last season. EVERYTHING Star Wars just has to have these same freakin’ characters. Just have to keep throwing in the same two cartoon characters that a general audience doesn’t even know exist, and that I personally wish had never existed in the first place. Doesn’t matter that you had what, six seasons with these characters in Clone Wars? And then what, another two or three in Rebels? And then, Kathleen Kennedy smiled down on you and bequeathed another season of Clone Wars? But no. Not enough. These two characters just have to get shoved into everything new. And it’s funny. I see so many who have said “Oh, I hope they don’t bring Boba Fett back, that would take away from the focus of the show.” But almost no one bats an eye at the possibility of their beloved Captain Rex making yet another comeback in THE EXACT SAME WAY as the last time he did. The first season of the Mandalorian gave me a just a little bit of hope that someone out there understood SW even a little. But everything that’s been talked about for season 2 really makes me understand Star Wars fatigue more and more. I just want it to be done at this point. It’s clear that it’s been warped beyond recognition and has too much baggage to ever be what it was again.

Obviously, my mind is fixated on this show's possibilities.

I thought this morning, maybe he's playing both Rex & Boba.

You could get around the age thing by either having Boba played by a stunt guy, & Morrison only providing the voice, or, covering him in prosthetics to show scarring from the Sarlacc digestion.

If he were playing both characters, I think it'd be an interesting story for them to meet each other, almost like the same person that made significant divergences in their pasts to end up on opposite ends of the moral spectrum.

Heck, maybe Boba is pursuing Ahsoka as a lead to track down Luke to get revenge for ROTJ.

LOL

didn't pick up on that until you said it!

Watched The Gallery first episode, Loved it,.. I felt uncomfortable watching Dave Filoni....comes across like a nerd/kid amongst adults

J

watch the second and you'll feel even more uncomfortable for Kennedy.

Obviously trying to get some airtime and ownership of Faverau's show.
