The Mandalorian (TV series)

As I said, embellished. The script says, at that point:
The towering creature brings down his curved, double-pointed
gaderffii -- the dreaded axe blade that has struck terror in
the heart of the local settlers. But Luke manages to block
the blow with his laser rifle, which is smashed to pieces.
The terrified farm boy scrambles backward until he is forced
to the edge of a deep crevice. The sinister Raider stands
over him with his weapon raised and lets out a horrible
shrieking laugh.
ADF made the choice to not cut to Artoo there, even though the script does. Next anything with Luke is the Sandpeople dragging his body over near the landspeeder and dropping him to strip it. Without talking to him, I couldn't tell you whether Luke fainting is per George or his own narrative choice. Unless one is wearing constricting clothing, fainting in the face of danger isn't really a thing. In the movie we see Luke block the swing, see his rifle get broken, see the famous rocked shot of the Raider brandishing his gaffi stick, then cut to Artoo in his niche. From my earliest memories, I always took it as implied off-screen violence happening to Luke. Not him swooning. Obviously, per your viewing experience, it is a subjective thing. I inferred a blow the audience was spared seeing. You did not.

I read the novel very close timewise to the movie coming out, might have even been before I saw the movie... not sure since it was 43 years ago. With a written account credited to GL, and no visible injuries in the film, I never had any question about it.

Aside from all that, it's also been in every SW game, for the most part, since Dark Forces II. I'd wager that's where most people saw it flat out used first/most. But there were EU novels in the early/mid's 90's using it. There were even references to specific Jedi who specialized in it.

Can't say I attribute ben/luke that way in ANH.

Watched The Gallery first episode, Loved it,.. I felt uncomfortable watching Dave Filoni....comes across like a nerd/kid amongst adults

Just now. :(

Nobody watched the first episode of The Making Of yet on D+? First one is about the directors and is 30min. Pretty good!!
Yeah. I dug it enough. Good insight into the creative process of each of them, but I'm more looking forward to the more technical BTS aspects of the production.

When does the next one release, midnight/tomorrow?

The Mattel plush is pretty cool. Got him last week. I like the plastic head.

I had an Asset crocheted for my grandson's birthday back in February, got him one of the Build-A-Bears a couple of weeks ago, & got a notification today that the one of these that I pre-ordered from Amazon back in December is shipping tomorrow.

I was going to cancel it until I saw one of these in person tonight. I agree that the plastic/vinyl head is nice. He sleeps with the two he already has, so this one will be nice for just playing...
