The Mandalorian (TV series)

Oh, look... it's the vanguard of the "I hate fun" contingent... ;)

I, for one, loved this episode. It was fantastic and gave us some nice backstory for the Mandalorian, as well as introduced Cara Dune, who is freaking awesome. I've never been a big Carano fan, but she is doing a great job here.

Also, Imma need a baby Yoda AND a giant lothcat now!
Oh look, it’s the “ignore valid criticism/difference of opinion by reducing everyone else as fun-hating babies” vanguard. I’ve been one of the folks defending the first few episodes from those saying they feel too quick, or like filler, or anything else. I really enjoyed the first few episodes. But this one felt sloppy, which makes sense because it was directed by Bryce Dallas Howard, who as far as I’m aware doesn’t have any directing experience herself.

Yup, as director, they got to write the script. All your complaints fall on the director. They run the cameras to.

I don't get the problem with doing the 7 samurai set up. Believe it or not, even most Star wars fans haven't seen that movie. Us forum going ultra nerds, are actually the minority.

It was a fun episode, with a lot of good backstory in it, great character interactions, and a giant robot fight. I got nothing to complain about.

Pretty sure season 2 is already in production? He better get after it.

Honestly, the episodes he directed on Breaking Bad were well done.

Just don't let him near the writing...

Holy crap I didn’t know he directed some episodes of breaking bad!!

I want to know why baby Yoda hasn't been given a name yet. They said they were at that little village for a few weeks. Are you telling me in all that time none of those children asked it's name? Even if Mando had said "he has no name" the kids would've given it one, in some form or another. Kids always name stuff. Whatever they called it, that's what we should be calling it now.

Also, after seeing this episode I'm willing to bet that that in the last episode of this season we will finally see Mando's face. To go even further, I will bet it is the last shot in the last episode.

Yeah they were calling him gizmo ;)

Holy crap I didn’t know he (Rian Johnston) directed some episodes of breaking bad!!

Still enjoying this but its starting to drift down the path of predictability. True that the younglings have probably never seen The Seven Samurai or Magnificent Seven or old westerns on TV but Mr Favreau has to take his older audience into consideration. Just a small point of concern so theres no need to call the fun police or invoke the spirit of the grinch or anything.
