The SIn was a great episode! Just awesomeness all around.

The flying salute (that really reminded me of an MCU movie that I couldn't quite place, where someone did a salute while flying?) was really outside of the Star Wars universe. But I think stuff like that will be far and few. But no, I didn't like that part at all.

Regardless. SO MUCH Cool new Star Wars stuff! I loved his comment about the New Republic.

Not-Baby-Yoda is pissing me off for being so damned cute that I even find it cute... Damnit. And I want to see and know more about the little pointed eared green blooded hobgoblin.

This is all just such a super fun series so far. As much as I crave lightsabers in Star Wars, this is really some of the best live-action stuff they've put out in a LONG time... I actually like the PT movies, so since then. But if we include Rebels, then since that ended.

Agreed. Joe Johnston was one of the original creators/painters of Fett and was a primary force behind the look and design of the Rocketeer in the film which I'm sure Favreau and Filoni are well aware of. Awesome tribute, although to the uninitiated I can how it could appear cheesy

I thought it was more of an Ironman/ iron patriot reference given Favreau, especially visually with his tri barrel cannon mounted on his shoulder while flying.

Really cool episode! My one and only gripe in this show so far, and its nitpicky as hell I admit, is that I kinda wish the other Mando’s costumes looked a little more believable. Its not bad at all but some of the costumes kinda just make me think of generic higher end Mando Mercs instead of real in universe Mandalorians per se.. Im not even really sure what it is my brain is seeing (or not seeing) but I think it might be a lacking of fine details kinda like how we were comparing OT props to PT & ST props. Theres just something about Boba and Jango’s costumes where Ive never once thought “guy in a costume” like I have with some of these mandos. And to be fair our main character is pretty alright on this front

I'm using a tablet and a chromecast. So far it's been great.

My wife and I are3 really enjoying this so far, it gets better with each chapter. It seems small and gritty instead of huge and shiny which is a great creative choice.

Okay, I'll say it... this makes me miss Firefly even more. Same vibe, less humor. There! I said it.

This. The jetpack Mando salute was likely inspired more by War Machine/ Iron Patriot than an outdated 90's B movie like the Rocketeer.

It didn't feel right.
The rest of the episode just pure awesomeness.

Yeah... The entire show is setting up how the Galaxy is functioning.

Those that lost station & power at the fall of the Empire would welcome a new faction with similar ideals to be loyal to.

Imperial loyalists would have no place in the New Republic, who is too concerned with the core worlds to bother with the Outer Rim. The First Order is forming I'm the Unknown Regions, just outside the Rim, so finding support wouldn't be that difficult

Those that are starving or living in fear from the lawless nature of the era, after a generation or so of living like that, would probably welcome the FO to establish, well, order.

Mandelorians gotta eat some chickin wings and chug down a few pints after a hard day.

Mandelorian’s must have their own dentists too for those yearly checkups.

Beards would get out of control after a few months too.

There was a movie back in the 90s I think, “Man in the iron Mask”, where Leonardo DeCrapio finally gets his mask off after maybe years of wearing it and he’s clean shaven....

Right. I thought the same thing. Taken off in private, but never in public and never by an enemy.

This must be a new tradition since the fall of the Empire, I guess, seeing as how we saw Mandalorians take their helmets off in public all the time in Clone Wars and Rebels.
