I feel like somthing is going to go really bad for our Mandalorian. And this story is going to start out as a tale of revenge. Or maybe this first season will have him trying to get to that one person that wronged him.

Seriously though, that hut in the picture looks a lot like how I imagined some of the buildings on Mandalore in the RC novels.

My bet is he starts out with the colored armor, gets payed in beskar by Werner Herzog and uses it to make a proper, shiny, unpainted mandalorian armor later in the series.

I'm curious about what, if any, of the Mando stuff from the RC books might make it in. They've already made the language Karen Traviss came up with canon because Sabine speaks it in Rebels. I think that's way more interesting than they are all pacifists, which they can't be if they have warriors. They said Favreau is a big fan of the old EU so who knows. It would be very cool to see a Mandalorian with special gray leather gloves make a cameo.

Well, they're not all pacifist... In Clone Wars, there were two factions, the pacifists and the more traditional Mandalorians (even now, it makes me twitch, trying to think of how the pacifists wound up in charge).

I would love to see more of Karen Traviss' work come back into canon. It's long been my opinion that the Mandalorian storyline was one of Clone Wars' rare missteps.

I LOVE Bill Burr and I love that even he is excited to see how it all comes together, especially because he's not really a Star Wars fan. There is something to be said for having a bit of detachment from it the way Harrison Ford did and I think Bill is pretty cool like Ford in that sense.

Karen Gillan would have been perfect for EU era Mara Jade.

If they were going to do Mara Jade, they could do way worse than Gillian, that's for sure.

That said, my personal preference would to just not have her show up in Mandalorian. I just feel like she's a character with too big a following, and a story too tightly tied to Luke for the character showing up to go well. Best to just imagine she's out there some place kicking teeth in, than try to show it.

If we’re getting Mara Jade I want Kyle Katarn too. I don’t care if Kanan and Cassian kind of take up his character space. We need a cool guy Force user in live action!

I think Mara would be the easiest to reboot. You could still have her as the Emperor's Hand and even have her switch sides, just don't do anything with Luke.

Eh, no matter how you do either, you will piss off your fan base. best to leave them be, besides maybe the occasional cameo type roll
