The Mandalorian (TV series)

At this point I cant see him just turning it over to The Client. I'm gonna guess his refusal to do that leads to the Empire Remnant showing up against him that we've seen in trailers. But we also know he gets more beskar armor later, so maybe he does get paid...

IDK.. after the way The Madalorains were portrayed in TCW and Rebels I'm kind of disappointed in a few areas. I understand that a character needs growth and an arc so the overall portrayal of the Mando is not bad. I would however like to see him sans helmet from time to time. I think the seen by the fire when he's fixing his arm would have played better if we saw his pain and his reaction to baby yoda... shows he can be hurt; kinda like Indy.

So far it has the super cool fan film vibe in it's story and writing. I guess I was expecting hour long Rouge One style in the quality and drama, more adult. We've had three animated series aimed at kids. I was really hoping they would have made one for older fans and teens. The weakest link is the score; it comes across as silly and aimed at 10 year olds.

They're called "offworld Jawas" which is why their eyes have turned red.... the planet is called Arvala-7. So i guess they somehow traveled there, and other planets, and built a sandcrawler?

According to this, they're native to Tattooine, but other media have also had them spread out to other locations throughout the galaxy... as would make sense for scavengers to do. A couple of potential scenarios that would make sense, for example: they sneaked aboard off-world-bound ships or were trying to steal cargo and weren't fast enough to vacate before launch...

OK. I still loved the episode but having Jawas on another planet, other than Tatooine, is pretty creatively silly to me. That’s just blatant ‘member berries in full bloom, to me.

EXPAND your galaxy beyond the corner occupied by the Skywalkers guys.

Still liking the show.

I do have one question...with the appearance of the Jawas, is this desert planet confirmed to be Tatooine??

I had thought that the Jawas were creatures indigenous to Tatooine—like the Sand People.

Are they indigenous to ALL “Dirt Planets” in the “Star Wars” universe??

It's fairly well established that Jawas are techno scavengers. They drive around in an oar processor collecting and selling. They may be indigenous to Tatooien and like many species, traveled off world and "set up" operations.

Opps.. answer was given as I typed it.

I’m going to check my EU material on this. I’m pretty sure that the crossword on my “Star Wars Burger Chef Funmeal” addressed this issue.

I’ll follow-up with what I find out.

I don't get how this could be classified as having a fan film vibe. What it has is a definitive Star Wars FILM used world vibe and its just awesome. The score? Refreshing. Talking about vibes, it has a Morricone flavor to it that goes perfectly with the main character. Cant wait for Bandai to, hopefully, come up with some models of the series as well as some figures to build. Would love a 12 inch figure of the main character!

Personally, I really enjoyed seeing more of the Jawas and their sandcrawler. I especially like seeing the little bastards git sum!

I definitely enjoyed that for sure; despite my gripes about the scavengers being Jawas.

I thought it was a fun episode.

Another reason I find it doubtful that the planet he found Yoda Baby on is Tattooine is the fact that there was so much loose moisture there. Seriously... there was actual mud. That's not something that would be on Tattooine. Not when moisture farmers are so reliant on "the harvest".

I think this episode set up the Mandalorian's upcoming dilemma- he darn near got himself killed getting the egg, assuming it was important, only to deliver it & watch it destroyed. I think that's planting the seed of his questioning the intentions of those wanting the baby.

The baby is traveling in an 'egg', he saved the Mandalorian's life, & the egg was hacked open & consumed in a disgusting way. It's all groundwork, IMO.
