The Mandalorian (TV series)

Yes the CGI was.. 1990's level but Luke got his hallway fight scene!! And damn if it wasn't amazing.. [emoji3][emoji3] This is the Luke that I've envisioned post ROTJ era. I'm on the side of I pray they use the world between worlds and rid us of the horror that are the ST..
Honestly, I wouldn't be entirely surprised if that's what happens in "Ahsoka".

I re-watched it too to see if Boba was on board the ship when Luke showed up. That would have been a MAJOR problem. lol

I know this is not directed at me, but the more I think about it maybe I've just overstayed my welcome in the Star Wars world. Maybe it's time for me to stop loving and hoping for something that will never love me back. lol

I think this is where I have to let it go. Finish my stuff and move on.
you cant leave now!! i just got back!!

It felt maybe a little bit too much like Deus Ex Machina in the end there, even though I had always expected to see Luke at the end of the series — which I'm afraid that this was.
Maybe a third season had been planned originally, but I don't think it will happen because of rumoured difficulties with the lead actor...

Luke on the bridge felt a bit stiff, but I don't think that is entirely the fault of CGI.
I think the young actor they hired to play the Jedi: Max Lloyd Jones actually looks very much like Mark Hamill, even more than Sebastian Stan does even, but...
I looked up some other videos of him, and I thought he felt quite stiff in those too. When I then rewatched him as Luke, he looked to me more like Max Lloyd Jones in a digital mask than anything else.

If they were going to put Hamill's face on top anyway, they didn't really need to hire someone that has as face that looks like Hamill's, to pull it off convincingly. I think it would be more significant to get someone with a similar height and build who can act like him and mimic his mannerisms.

If you watch the episode with the sub-titles on I believe it says 'Bib Fortuna' when he's speaking.
It did also say "Bib Fortuna" in the credits ... before the after-credits scene (which thus got a little spoiled for me...)
He was voiced by Matthew Wood, BTW.

Finally, I could be wrong, but the markings on that X-Wing looked like Luke got promoted to Red (or Rogue) Leader.
Good eye! That wouldn't necessarily be wrong, because Luke had founded Rogue Squadron and was Rogue Leader, at least during the battle of Hoth. I think that Wedge was Rogue Leader only when Luke wasn't around.

i see a lot of people concerned with "Gogurt"s story ending today. i think differently.. and i use this as an example

there is no doubt "Gogurt" (i refuse to call IT by its name, i hate the damn thing) is the biggest cash cow going right now...so how do you make people want more?...

When i was younger my girlfriend and I worked at a ice cream shop at night, it was always jamming. a freakn gold mine..he was open from the first weekend of may to the first weekend of october, the place was good for 3.3mil a year.. ive seen the numbers with my own eyes. funny thing is they used a commercial ice cream that you could buy at the local grocery store.. Richardsons ice cream.. nothing fancy.. I could only re stock the drums of ice cream after we closed so no one saw the brand name.. owner didn't ever want anyone knowing it was stuff you could buy at the grocery store in the center of town..

Im serious the place was always jamming with lines going around the block for this stuff.. I asked the owner one time "why not stay open year round? i mean the lines are always endless and you know what you make during the season, imagine how much more you would make open year round?" and he told me some of the best advice ive ever heard
"because people want what they cant have... they are here because they know once the season is over they have to wait for it to come back"

he also made the point of the ice cream shop down the street, who makes their ice cream from scratch by hand.. all family made...place is HUGE.. they are open year round and supply many family owned restaurants in the area with ice cream..
"its everywhere, they dont have lines like this because they are open year round and the area around here has that name plastered everywhere, the public are bored with it"

"take away what people want, and they will line up waiting for it next year"

the guy was right... I see this disney move to just sell more.. leave us hanging thinking he's gone forever. i wouldn't be surprised if next season we dont see him at all, or we are teased in the last episode with his return.. but i am certain he will be back... probably sooner then we think

"once the new season starts next year, we will all be in line waiting for our ice cream"

Considering what made this series great was staying away from the movies it bums me out that now I'm worried it's going to become the, "retcon/save the sequels," series.
Nothing that happens in this series can save the ST, in my opinion. The only way to even approach something like that is to make the D+ shows so crappy that the ST looks good by comparison. Any awesomeness from these shows just makes the ST even more heartbreaking. Knowing that everything is leading up to that dumpster fire. Without using the term "head cannon", the ST is dead to me. It doesn't exist.

Always leave them wanting more! If you end something while it is still insanely popular, people will always have fond memories of it. If you run it out for too long, it runs the risk of becoming common place, then predictable, and then boring.

A wise man once said. You’ve got to know when to hold them. Know when to fold them. Know when to walk away, and know when to run! LOL

If the sequels had never been made, and this was the first time that we had seen Luke since ROTJ, we would’ve been blown away!

Well, I should say, "try to," salvage the sequels.

Yeah, I'd have been bawling like a child if I saw this and didn't know what Luke ends up as. I just kept thinking about how excited I was seeing Rey climbing up that hill and Luke turning around in his white robes...then waiting two years to see him take the lightsaber and throw it over his shoulder as if it meant nothing. Ugh. Just bummed me out.

As much as I love Grogu, I do hope this is the end of his story. Din completed his quest and returned Grogu to his people. Now he is the Mand'alor and he has to come to terms with that.
