The Mandalorian (TV series)

You can despise the term all you want. I despise the behavior that it applies to (death/rape threats, overtly racist language, etc).

I never claimed that type of behavior doesn't exist nor would I condone it. I just despise the need to tie disgusting behaviour to fandom as a whole and thus labeling an entire group of people rather than hold individuals accountable for the things they say or do. Personal responsibility is sadly frowned upon these days.

Filoni has played coy with the timing of that scene in the “Rebels” finale where Ahsoka and Sabine take off to look for Ezra. Did that scene happen immediately after ROTJ? Did it happen months or years later? Has it even happened yet in “The Mandalorian”’s continuity? Filoni won’t say.

Actually it is canon that it takes place 5 years after the end events of RotJ, so exactly the same year as Mando. The months just might be off.

Doesn't The Mandalorian take place 9 years after Jedi?

9 years after ANH. 5 years after RotJ.

  • Star Wars: The Phantom Menace – 32 BBY
  • Star Wars: Attack of the Clones – 22 BBY
  • The Clone Wars – 22 BBY-19 BBY
  • Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith – 19 BBY
  • Solo: A Star Wars Story – 13 BBY – 10 BBY
  • Star Wars Rebels – 5 BBY – 1 BBY
  • A New Hope – 0 BBY
  • The Empire Strikes Back – 3 ABY
  • Return of the Jedi – 4 ABY
  • The Mandalorian – 9 ABY
  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens – 34 ABY
  • Star Wars: The Last Jedi – 34 ABY
  • Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – 35 ABY

Ah. I wasn't aware there was a canon "date" for the Ahsoka/Sabine scene. Regardless, you get my point - Filoni is being vague for a reason.

My not-so-educated guess is because the scene hasn't happened yet in the current show's timeline, and Grogu's communing with Ezra is what precipitates that scene.

If it doesn't apply to you, it shouldn't offend you. Same with when people talk about toxic masculinity. If you're not participating in the behavior and don't tolerate it in your presence, then it shouldn't bother you when others are called out for it.

That makes sense. If Ahsoka got a lead as to where Ezra and Thrawn were from Morgan Elsbeth, that would lead her to come to Sabine for help.

Actually, I'm guessing they will get the lead from Grogu, as Ezra is (to me, at least) the most likely candidate for the Jedi that Grogu "finds" on the seeing stone.

I'd think that if Elsbeth knew where Thrawn was, she'd already be out in Wild Space (or wherever) looking for him vs. going about her business as usual razing worlds to build starships. Maybe?

The Grogu lead is possible, but Thrawn had already gotten to Elsbeth, she was working for him. Hence the electric cages and the fact all of her guards had Thrawn's symbol on their armor. It's the whole reason why Ahsoka was on Corvus, to find his location.

I would totally agree with you if you were right.

I'm a toxic fan, phantom menace, toxic masculinity, prissy little bitch, preachy jerk. Seriously. It's all true.(y)

Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's all good. Let's go have some beers.

But did he? Elsbeth might have been "holding down the fort" for Thrawn re: the Seventh Fleet, but I'm thinking that Ahsoka might be mistaken, and that Elsbeth has no idea where he is yet.

I feel like there's a whole 'nother adventure with Ezra & Thrawn finding themselves lost in Wild Space or the Unknown Regions, near no known hyperspace routes, and having to band together despite their enmity in order to find a way back home. Coming across all kinds of weird **** along the way.

Same thing as Maul and Fett. Flat characters portrayed by cool actors (or a cool bit of costume in Fett's case) that people want to un-kill so they can star in licenced fanfic as the cool characters they should be. But it just makes death cheap in the Star Wars universe; I mean, Maul was cut in half.

(Maul is by far the worst resurrection; Fett is the most plausible because he just fell in a pit and he had a jetpack. I wouldn't be as bothered by him or even Mace but Maul poisoned the well.)

I'd say the worst is the emperor being tossed down a seemingly bottomless reactor pit or which the whole thing blew the #$%& up a few minutes later - and he still came back.

FWIW, Luke also got toasted by the lightning and wasn't too worse for wear when it stopped.
