The Mandalorian (TV series)

It cracks me up that the fans have made this a thing. Just like the guy with the ice cream maker on Bespin has become a fan favorite. Hey they canonized that thing as a camtono, so why not? lol

I like not only are they using more speeder bikes in this show, but that it feels like the animators have actually watched videos of people on motorcycles. Before this show you never saw anyone on a speeder bike use their legs to do anything like help balance, use as a drag, etc. Before this the riders never really used their bodies like a real biker does.

As someone who did a lot of dirt biking on motorcycles when I was younger, I really appreciate that added realism.

I never rode a dirt bike or motorcycle, but some of those moves where they used their feet to shift the bike as it neared the ground was a technique I often used myself riding my bicycle through the trails in the woods by my house when I was a kid. I'm totally in agreement with you that it was little touches like that which really sold me on the realism of that chase and why it stuck with me. The fact that the two collided while banking down that cliff was amazing too. Just that little moment sold the idea that one wrong move and any of them could die.

I kept looking for tshirt guy and couldn't find him. Mind you, this is just one viewing in real time, but is it possible he has been removed already?

I wouldnt be surprised. Ive noticed little things in recent rewatches that seem to have been altered from when they first went up.

Like in the first episode when Greef slams the calamari flan on the table, it was just a flat sound. The last few times Ive watched in it seems like they made it a wet squishy sound.

Off topic, but I’m watching Rebels and it’s specifically mentioned that these Mandalorians are wearing “Beskar alloy” armor which is interesting. I wonder if Din’s armor is so strong because it’s pure.

That's certainly possible, but being alloy doesn't necessarily make a metal less strong. Generally speaking, based on my limited knowledge of metallurgy, making a metal into an alloy actually makes it stronger. Take steel for instance, modern steel tends to be an alloy of iron and some other metals like manganese.

It's also possible that Beskar is an alloy but is simply called Beskar for short most of the time. I'm not sure that the EU, or any of the shows ever went that in depth into what Beskar exactly is besides being some sort of super blaster and lightsaber resistant/proof metal.

Pretty much this. Alloys don’t always make a metal stronger but do provide some sort of trade-off for desirable properties be it hardness, corrosion resistance, or ability to be formed and shaped.

Pretty much any commercial or industrial metal is some sort of alloy.

Speaking of Beskar, that's one thing that bugged me about that last episode with the Armorer. If Mandos are the only ones who know how to forge Beskar, you'd think they would protect the Armorer and not let her just go out in a blaze of glory. It didn't make sense.

The Armorer proved more than capable of taking care of herself. Din argued for staying to help and she commanded him to go.
