The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

How easy is to rip a dragon limb from limb in beast form?

I'm still debating on going that route or not.

I haven't killed a dragon in beast mode yet, but the last few times I changed, I lost health pretty quickly.....

I'll try it and post about how it works.

Stealing in this game is too easy. You can rob any shop or house in the game if you pick up a bucket and put it over the NPCs heads to block line of sight. its hilarious

I just got done with a quest that started with a drinking contest and turned into a medieval version of the hangover

This was the most entertaining quest I've encountered so far

This game truly is awesome

HA ha ha! That quest was epic! I especially loved the bride to be!

I love how stuff may turn out in this game! Yesterday a dragon attacked and there was a mamouth nearby. He/she ran up to the dragon and kicked his/her aess! Afterward it turned and went for me and I had to hide on a high rock for a while until it calmed down and walked away.

I just love things like that. :D

So I see a dragon roost icon and head up there for a fight. As I'm approaching, the dragon starts circling and zooming in. "Right. I'm on a mountainside. No room for fighting," I said. "I'll head up here to flat ground so I can move around."

I get to the dragon roost, and there sits a second dragon.

Oof! :lol

I had one of the random encounters just outside of a city, so I get in amongst all the city guardsmen and wait while the dragon circles. And wait. And then I wait some more. He settles down behind a hill, and breathes fire on something, and then circles some more for good measure.

Then he flew away.

What happens when your character dies as far as inventory, loot, level status? Is it a big deal, or can you basically go and pick fights with anyone/anything with little risk/penalty if you die? Just curious because I can see myself dying alot if my character isn't leveled up adequately. This game looks awesome, and it's definitely on my Christmas list.

No penalties for dying.

And you can save any time you want and dont have to go to any stupid safe house or replay 30 minutes everytime you die. Yes Im talking to you Rockstar games! ;)

Ok so killing a dragon as a werewolf is possible, but I recommend being a high level for two reasons: 1) you've got more health 2) you've got a higher one-handed skill (I'm pretty sure your one-handed carries over as your werewolf attack)

Also, attacking while sprinting in beast mode does a great amount of damage and will knock an opponent down, FYI

So today I had my double barrel dragon moment. I had just finished fighting one, was still a bit bloody and bruised but healing, and another starts circling overhead.

I managed to kite him through a giant's mammoth herd, where he promptly started attacking the delicious looking mammoths. Farmer Andre (the giant) comes rushing to the herd's defense, dragon gets killed. As I had evidently caught the giant in one of the Shouts, he starts stomping towards me, and I take that as a cue to beat a hasty retreat. After he calms down and I can go back to the dragon, it doesn't do the Quickening, although I can still loot him for bones and scales.

So now when I walk past the camp, there's a perfectly preserved dragon lying in the road. Should give the locals something to talk about.

Also, you haven't lived until one flies up behind you quietly and the first inkling you have of something wrong is the earth shaking thud of his landing...

There's just.. so much to do! I don't want to get too far into the main quest until I level up some more (I'm lv15 now). I haven't done any of the faction quests yet. I'm trying to figure out how to level everything simultaneously, as I want to be able to craft Legendary armor and then enchant the holy living hell out of it for insane stacked bonuses.

But I'm only lv15! I don't have enough money to get everything I need, I'm not high enough level to come across the good stuff, or to take on some of the harder locations. And I need that big house in Solitude to put all my stuff!

And I suppose I should try the actual questlines out sometime... lol.

How is the game so far? Im considering purchasing it, but not sure yet. I loved Oblivion, but kinda iffy since I already waisted money on a crappy game this week

In my mind this game is almost exactly the same as Oblivion. The issues I have is that magic is not easy to use. I am not much for magic, but I like to use the healing powers, and those are just complicated and difficult to do when you are carrying a two handed hammer. It is a really good game for relaxing and taking a break. It isn't intense. It isn't hard. It just is enjoyable and a bit mindless.

I suppose you can play it for a break, but mindless? It makes me qurious what games you think are mindfull? This rpg takes hours and hours to get through and there are thousands of things to do and learn. Ive yet to see a game with such details and lore. There are unique books everywhere, you can create and play your character and customize equipment pretty much any way you want, and you can say screw the MQ and play hundreds of other quests.

The storytelling, dialoge, voices and quests are much better written and performed compaired to Oblivion.

Hold a torch up to an object before you start lockpicking, it makes it easier. It's even mentioned in one of the in-game books, something along the lines of heat up a lock before picking it.

Heat the lock? Hmm, sounds interesting. I wonder if aiming a fireball at it would have the same effect?
Mind you I'm not having any difficulty with locks, for some reason I just listen to the clicks, and hardly ever break any lockpicks

I haven't figured out how to do that yet, based on the sound the pick makes. I usually do the "trial and error" approach of tapping the key to turn the lock until I get movement, then fine-tuning it from there. On a Master-level lock, it can take me 20 lockpicks to get through. The only tip I read online was that it was "easy" to check the strength of the lock because the Xbox controller has analog sticks for moving the lock. Well, my keyboard doesn't have analog keys.

I need the smithing recipe for Daedric Unbreakable Lockpick (if there is such a thing.. lol).
