The DEFINITIVE TDK Joker Costume Thread/Project

I do the blazer as well... already made one for someone here, but didn't get a chance to take a photo of it.

Kind regards,
Indy

I know the touring suit has a gold chain, but in the movie, it still looks silver to me.

I think it was worn gold. You know how cheap gold plating will wear away and become silver after a time? And after that it'll wear off into whatever is underneath?
That's what the chain on the touring suit and in promo photo's looks like to me. Like a cheaply plated gold chain thats been around the block a few times.

I have read through this thread and a couple others so if I missed the answer to this question I apologize. I have the rubies wig and want to make it a little "greasy" and more screen accurate looking. I realize it is not the best, however its all I have to work with at the moment. thanks in advance for the help.

for my bust I used elmer's glu and ran it through the strands - makes it look pretty greasy, but I dont know how it will hold up on a costume wig as opposed to mine which just sat, not having to move...

I style my hair in a 50's greaser style and I use something called 'pomade' in my hair. It is essentially hair wax and unlike gel or hair glue, it will not dry and harden but stay...well, greasy!
There are many formulas and brands of hair pomade - the more commonly used hair pomades are designed for use in African American hair and is available at most shopping center stores in the hair care section - WalMart has them. But I find that those types of hair pomades are very thick and don't blend well with longer hair.
Try a brand called 'Wax-it-up' which I found at a local beauty salon. Also, 'Got-2-b-glued' brand makes a hair pomade that is excellent for that greasy look. I'm not sure how it will do with synthetic hair - my wig is made from real hair.
Anyway, here are some teaser shots of my new Joker gloves. They were custom dyed from imported leather gloves - which very VERY closely match the original gloves:

Very nice gloves and great hair tip too. Been wondering what I was gonna do for mine and now instead of mousse I'll probably dig up the pomade and go that route instead. Thanks for the tip!

I have recieved my shirt from Indy Magnoli. I have started a new thread regarding his shirt with the pictures, however here are some teaser pics:

And a comparison to the Utopia Base shirt. Looks close in the picture, but in reality, the colors and (of course) the pattern design on Indy's shirt is far superior and completely accurate. You can see that the hexagons on Indy's shirt are positioned the correct way:

Indy - what does the blazer run? I'm trying to compile a list of everything I'm planning on getting and what it will cost...

Anybody heard back from T&A about this next run of ties? They said the ties should be in on the week of the 20th. I haven't heard anything so far. :confused

As soon as I recieve my Joker tie from Indy Magnoli, I will be posting a comparison picture here so everyone can see the difference in color between his 'color corrected' tie and the original T&A tie.

I still cant wrap my head around what the real color of this tie is - it looks different in every image I see...

is the pattern on the tie printed like the ones on ebay? or is it actually stitched?
it looks like it is stitched from indy's pics..

I can't wait til I can afford all your ties. I just got a new tie rack and it's not all full. Joker tie, Bleydrunner tie, Indiana Jones ties. Dude you're gonna make a killing when my finances are in the green again.

Yeah I got a call from the girl in charge, she wrote my CC# down wrong and called me to get it corrected. She said they'll be shipping out tomorrow.
