Will there be a short blade version for Yoda? I would love to put this on my Yoda statue.
Love the pulse...is there more stuff still?

WOW.... :D That's AWESOME. Leagues ahead of MR for sure. So you can use the kit on the Master Replicas Anakin Revenge of the Sith FX right?

Asked and answered...

massoh, the Anakin ROTS FX should have room for everything. We are still looking to convert one of those when we get time.

Now, Hyperdyne, if you need a donor Windu saber..... :D

oh, dear....

I was hoping to hold on to my firstborn son for a while, but I guess that when/if I get a boy one day, I´ll have to send him in exchange for such a fine piece of artisanry and engineering.....

Oh, well.... I am more than interested, though, and "pending on price" my foot.

Hermes.

Have there been any pictures of the blades taken during the daytime?  All the shots seem to be taken in dark areas.

Here's a pic :)

The blades do not put out a burst of light, but they will have specialized clash circuitry that will be shown off soon.

BTW, people have been asking again and again for a daylight shot of a blade.  I finally got around to doing one.  :)

Here is the green blade in DIRECT sunlight.  The sun was coming right through an unfiltered window on the upper left side.  Below is the pic w/ no flash.  The blade is certainly bright enough to still be seen in direct sunlight (plus I'm at 5500 ft so I'm 1 mile closer to the sun :p).

Every time I come back to this thread, my jaw drops again. :thumbsup Amazing, I love the pulse. This will definately be the ultimate lightsaber.

Thanks everyone.

Well, things are getting closer now. I just got a finished batch of the HyperBlade driver boards in stock..

I havent fitted a windu but I have gutted one. I know everything will fit inside it.

The anakin ROTS FX saber shouldnt be a problem either. The only issue so far is that the plastic blade holder is one piece (instead of the normal 2 piece design). Generally this is not a problem but MR is using blade stock that is a hair smaller than 1" OD. So my blade fit is too tight without having to sand down the inside of the blade holder.

i've been following this thread for awhile now but haven't posted. HD, i just wanted to let you know how awesome your work is turning out. I am stoked for the chance to own one of these sweet, sweet babies. now to pinch pennies..

Dude I just ordered a Trooper FX board from your website, and I'm already excited to get my hands on it :)

I can't imagine how it's gonna feel to wait for these. :D

TWO QUESTIONS:

1) When are you starting to take the orders?
2) Will you be able to hook this system inside the Darth Maul FX that's coming out soon.

AAARRRGHHHH...

I've been following this thread from the beginning, and everytime it gets bumped, it is somebody who thinks reading the last two posts should answer all the questions.

@?¢"&*...
It's a friggin' 22 page thread. Read the whole damn thing...

OK, to your question, from what I heard, it fits into every FX saber that is out there, so there shouldn't be any problem fitting the electronics into a Maul FX, since it's twice the length of a normal FX...

Just wonder if it uses regular AAA or AA batteries, or a 9V battery?

Best,

I'd imagine to get that brightness it would take a bit more power than a 9V could deliver. I'd say a rechargeable battery pack.

xmart, yes it should be able to fit in the DM FX. Cant guarantee til we take one apart. (BTW your amp went out the other day.) :) I have 15 sets of the blade kits almost ready for release. I will make an appropriate thread when that happens.

CriticalMass, you are correct. We are using a 7V Li-ion battery pack to deliver the needed current to the blade. You could also use 5AA or AAA batts if need be. A 9V will light up the blade, but not for long (and they are not recommended)...

you mean besides the EP5 luke that they already came out with???

or are you saying you heard they were comming out with another one???

possibly ANH luke.

that would own.

sorry... derail over.

Hadnt heard of that, but a true graflex would be cool.

ok, so I just retrofitted my Anakin ROTS FX saber with a new blade and in-the-hilt sound (w/ ForceFeedback vib motor installed too). I also added a small 1W amp since I wanted the sounds to be much louder.

The results - very good. I am using a 1" speaker (smaller than I typically use) and the sounds are about 2 times louder than the current FX saber. :)

Here is a movie of the saber (MR one on top, Hyperdyne on bottom):

MR anakin vs. Hyperdyne Anakin

The battery wasnt even fully charged in my saber either. :D

I prefer the MR version to be truthful.......... :confused

BUHAWHAHHAHAHHAWHAHWAW I KEED I KEED. :p

That is just incredible. So do 3po buddies get first dibs????

Great job Jim.

womo

Nice work Jim. Your versionÂ’s sound unit totally overpowers the MR version. You can barely hear the MR when theyÂ’re both turned on.
