New Pants with boots test shot.

Finally tracked down a pair of 1984 Original Gargoyles. The most common's are the 85mm versions which I had first, these are far more rare.

missed this one the first time around. Excellent work! Is there another photo shoot planned with the new specs?

you nailed the look, brother.

How. Do they differ from your other pair? A side by side comparison?

There are a few differences, mainly being the nose piece is rubber and has a much smoother front surface, the other is the lenses are about 15% bigger than the 85mm version's I had before. I'd post a side by side but I sold my 85's when I got my original 84's. But I'll post a photo of them both though.

Yeah I think I'll do a new one sometime in the next month or two. I've upgraded my shirt, boots, pants and finally my Gargoyles so it's time for a new photo shoot. Thanks for saying so man, I appreciate it. Hopefully you'll dig the new shots also. I did take one quick cell phone shot wearing them, just to show a friend. Nothing great, but it's something.

ShaneHelms in your photos you have the jacket open.

And where is the SPAS-12 at this point?

He wears the jacket open during the police station shootout and only when he goes out again after the shootout does he have his jacket zipped and buckled, the Spas-12 is never seen again either. My guess is he only used both of them together due to the need of mega firepower to dispatch all the officers as efficiently and quickly as possible in order to find Sarah. It wasn't really needed after that and would be no doubt be cumbersome to use or carry since he was traveling on the motorcycle by that point.

Clearly I need to watch this again (and before I go and see TG) but that scene I posted is just after the "dead cat" question, not in the police station.

Also where does one find Gargoyle glasses? I have been to about 20 sunglass shops and no-one has them.

Yeah I know the scene your talking about and it's the one showing The Terminator in full shot after the police station shootout in which his jacket becomes zipped and the belt is buckled. Possibly to hide some of the damage he sustained in the shootout? Never any real explanation on that.

As for finding a pair of Gargoyles Ebay is your best bet. I wouldn't buy the new issued ones they have out now for anything. I've put a pair on and didn't care for them at all, cheaply made in my opinion. You can find the 85mm versions on Ebay usually all the time, they go for around $45-75 depending. The originals I have now are much harder to find and can go up to $400. Just search "Classic Gargoyles" and you should find what your looking for. Also anytime is a good time to re-watch The Terminator. haha

Since I made this amazing score after three years of searching and I finally snagged a legit grey colored M65, which is almost next to impossible to find these days that I will be moving forward with my "Tech-Noir" costume of the T-800. Still can't believe I found this though I took a gamble on the size but luckily it fit and for $20 it was worth the risk.

Nice! I've been trying to find one myself with no luck. The ones on eBay sometimes look grey in the pics but are just bad lighting. What size did you find?

Yeah that's one of the most frustrating things about hunting for this jacket, I know exactly what you mean and this was a small, I typically wear a medium in this type of coat but it didn't pose a problem thankfully, since it's only a sleeveless shirt being worn underneath there's not much to take space up and M65's run a bit baggy anyhow.

Thanks for saying so, it means a great deal to me. Especially after all the time and effort that went into it. heh.
