As with many who tackle this costume, this is something I have wanted since I first saw the movie in theaters, back in the day. The lynch pin to finally attacking this was the trench coat, beautifully and masterfully made by Excellent Leather, with the help of loads of people on this forum. To my eye, and for my money, this is the highest quality, most accurate, easily accessed jacket ever made. Others have made jackets of amazing quality and accuracy, but typically just a one-off for themselves. Once the jacket fell into place, the rest followed.
KarolianDryGoods also hit it out of the park with the blazer. Absolutely stunning in its execution.
The tie is way better quality than I expected from an Amazon find. I'm not sure how accurate it is to the real deal, but I'm very happy with it for the price and the construction quality.
The trousers were the real coup. I spent about an hour on ebay with a few well placed key words and landed on the ones in the photo. No pleats, very similar "look" to the screen used pants fabric, and they fit great. 45 bucks. The belt loops are not accurate to the real deals, but I can live with that.
I went with the Stan Smith shoes instead of Officials because the Stan's were readily available, inexpensive, and in all sizes. They are slightly different from the Officials, but I think capture the vibe of Deckard's costume really well.
Here's the parts breakdown:
Trench Coat - Excellent Leather
Blazer - KarolianDryGoods
Tie - CostumeBase / Amazon
Shirt - CostumeBase / Amazon
Belt - Temporary, still need to replace.
Trousers - Paisley & Gray Downing Dress Pant Mens / ebay
Shoes - Adidas Stan Smith's.
Remaining todo items: Replace the shoe laces with dark brown, round ones. Replace the belt, which is on order.
I think the weakest point of the costume is the shirt, though it reads OK once the whole ensemble is together. The print is way too bright. I believe the shirt is supposed to be black, or near black, with a much more subtle pattern on it. Still, it was inexpensive, readily available, fits well, and whatever perceived shortcomings, they get lost in the overall presentation.
