Sylar's Jacket - Help!

A friend is working on Sylar for Halloween, and we're stumped on the jacket:

Has anyone out there made this or something similar? To me, the silhouette looks like Neo's coat from The Matrix, but it's obviously very different...

There are a number of patterns for classic and modern men's coats on the market right now, that would be immensely cheaper to make fitted to the wearer then purchasing one already made. Especially with the costume pattern catalogs full right about now, and usually on sale every other day, it shouldn't be hard to find one close enough to alter and fit to the Sylar in your life.

The pattern listing online seems very limited (atleast the ones I'm looking through) compared to the catalogs you can find in any walmart or fabric store. Next time I'm there i'll be sure to flip through and see if I can find a pattern number or two.

Looks like I'm going to get to take my Sylar to Wal-Mart and JoAnn's so he can help me find the pattern he wants.
