Supernatural Props.What Ya Got... 4 Years 2010-2014

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Def agree on the book, just checked and season 1-2 on blu ray are still out on loan, but I also have them on dvd...resolution sucks but I posted a VERY crappy pic. The problem is, is that what youre seeing on screen is the backside of the blade.Dean would have to be on the other side of the bed for the other side to be shwoing...the part that normally would be seen. You can look at that dark area along the edge and see that its wavy. If you frame advance it, you can see the serrations better. I think it's pretty cool how they RECYCLE weapons, if you look at screengrabs, weapons belong to this guy...then this one,etc...theyre basically filler cause no one but us crazy people here on the RPF would ever slow them down and look.

I like how they recycle actors. Benny was in the show in an earlier season, as well as Chuck's agent.

What episode is your pic from, I could try to get a clearer shot.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Towards the end of season 1, when they rescue John from the demons in the apartment building. Episode 19, 20, maybe it was 18? It's toward the end of the season.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

OK, time to solve everyones concerns on what knife Dean uses. As many of you know I have some friends that work for the show and awhile back they sent me some photos of what props Dean & Sam use on the show. The photos were taken with name cards besides the props letting me know who's props belonged to which character. Dean's pocket knife is the serrated knife and Sam's is NOT. I have photos of ALL of Dean equipment from phone, lock pick set, keys (w/keychain), knives, wallet and lighters. The same goes for Sam's stuff. As for the book, this was the biggest waste of money in my book. MOST of the info in the book is incorrect and will mislead MOST fans. The photos in the book are WRONG when it comes to which character uses what weapon. Yes, the character SHARE certain weapons in the show but each MAIN PROP/WEAPON belong to a certain character. Basically don't believe everything you read or see in a book written by someone that doesn't really care about the show. It's a good thing all the cars have 250 engines in them too..............................:$

Just so you all know, KYSUPERNATURAL SPEAKS THE GOSPEL PLUS HE IS REALLY GOOD GUY! :)

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Well, there you have it. What Rick says is law.

Hey Rick, could I persuade you to send me those pictures, please? :love

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

SORRY GUYS, as much as I would LOVE to share ALL my photos with you I can't upon the request of my friends. It seems the WB gets REALLY WEIRD about this kind of stuff and my friends could loose their jobs if these photos started showing up all over the web...............................:wacko HOWEVER I have been given permission that once the show comes to an end I can share all of these photos which will be posted on a Supernatural website I am going to do........:cool Let just say I have enough photos/info on the car and props to make the last so called book (that everyone raves about) look like a kindergardner wrote it...............:$ How do you all think I got the info to do the Journal......................:rolleyes ALL IN GOOD TIME PEOPLE ALL IN GOOD TIME...............................:)

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Not people, me. I asked. :lol But that's ok. See, I didn't buy the kindergarner book for the text, I bought it for the photos of props, regardless of who owns what. I like photos. I like seeing peoples collections. :confused

:loveI don't have friends in high places, so I have to get my photos where I can. So any source helps. I'm very sorry you can't show us anything, due to your friends NDC's and professional contracts. I don't want anyone to loose their jobs either.

.....That being said, I'll EVENTUALLY take pictures of my stuff. If that's ok. I know I don't have the greatest collection in the world.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Actually the photos in the book SUCKED in my opinion but then again I have been spoiled by my friends. If you ever need help on the correct stuff just let me know and I will point you in the right direction. Don't worry my collection started out VERY SMALL but over time it grows into something LARGE. It's funny how my collection grows and my bank account grows small..............................:$Actually it's not funny at all......:unsure

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Well THANKS RICK...:)

I'll let you know when I have :confused.

It's only been a short time for me, and I'm a Sam guy, but I've done pretty OK. A few guys here and on FJ have helped out.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Sorry, I believe the official books of obviously authentic production photos over someone too smug to provide evidence to his claims.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

WOOO guys, before this gets out of hand, I think it's pretty clear why certian pics and/or information can't be shared do to privacy. Sometimes people know someone on the inside, I know people who've had castings off something way before it was ever released to the public, screenplays, etc and it's hush, hush to save someone from getting into trouble. Aside from that I think with just info sharing and screengrabs we all share info and pics when we can. Rick is always eager to help when he can. I think most Supernatural fans would agree. If he doesn't know the answer, he'll gladly say so. This is something we all share and like doing, we don't need to turn this into something ugly, let's save the energy and passion for the hobby. :thumbsup

Thanks for understanding brother! :) It's funny how MOST people get it but there are those very few who DON'T.........................:rolleyes

Season 1 last episode is where the pic is from...also the big guy from a few episodes ago is the huge ghost from the Ghostfacers episode where the kids used the B.O.C. symbol on the wall. I remember ole Benny when he was a vampire as well, the episode with Gordon. Also love the light fixtures they use with the wire cages over them....theyre used EVERYWHERE...lol

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Plus Dean used the Taurus first, and Sam used to use the double barrel shotgun.

YUP...true and true. Don't quote me, but I also think the lever action shotgun the boys also use MAY have actually been Ellen's first as well. Maybe someone can verify that.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Rick I'd rather you keep the photos for a long while since I want more and more seasons ;) which equals more props to build for all!

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

I thought that's why Dean carries the shotgun but then again I could be reading more into than I'm supposed too.......................... :confused

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

So, I don't have much, and I'm not anal about screen acuracy when I make things for myself. Here's my collection:
1. An angel blade I made for myself, but ended up giving it to a friend for her birthday
2. Supernatural Salt Shaker (comicon giveaway)
3. Just a regular small area rug....to make sure demons are caught before they get in
4. My Death Ring
5. Not really from any type of Supernatural inspiration, but I picked up this awesome belt buckle at a flea market for $4!
6. An autograph from Richard Speight Jr on a picture I made of him
7. The only Impala I'll ever afford
8. The Colt that I made for myself
9. Dean's Amulet I bought at a convention
10. Not a prop....but my Supernatural tattoos
