Supernatural Props.What Ya Got... 4 Years 2010-2014

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Mechmechanic, that's a pretty bad ass collection you've got there. That M.Julian looks great and the chevy is fooking unreal. Are you getting the smae cragar sawblades as Dean's has?

Me and you both..so glad he's picky and wants all those little details on his version..or at least as close as he can get. Each version just keeps raising the bar.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

The work jacket he wear he also has one in green, gray, brown and the blue one you mentioned. Over at filmjackets a Supernatural collector ID them as a jacket made by WINDRIVER..in CANADA..he lives there and has yet to see any for sale, saw a guy who wore one once and asked him the brand. The store that carries them is Mark's warehouse..THEY NO LONGER MAKE THEM...plus THEY DONT DO MAIL ORDER......ARGGGGGG...Trust me would love to own a few of them..like that style to begin with

Seen a few Esso cans, but never EXACTLY like theirs.....could also be another company..back in the day..sometimes one company would own a few name brands and the packaging would be very similar..so might want to keep looking.

go to filmjackets on the Cartharts..I own several like Dean's but couldnt tell you the name type etc..but theres a thread on it and has several pics and such. Cant wait to see your bowie...did you track sown a good supplier? Cause those suckers AINT CHEAP....saw one company in Spain...but wasnt sure if there would be import taxes..etc.

Bummer about the jackets. I want that blue one so badly...

I ended up getting my bowie for $100 on eBay. Just compared it to some screens from season 1 episode "Phantom Traveler" and it looks dead-on. I also compared it to shots from season 2 "No Exit" but that knife is a little different.

I'm the guy on FilmJackets that identified them lol. Yeah they're extremely hard to find, I've NEVER seen one for sale online anywhere unfortunately.

Yeah the jackets are a b*tch to find. I've known the brand for about 3 years and I've never once seen one for sale. Dean also wears a couple Windriver button up shirts that I have too. I think the reason the jackets are so rare is because as far as I know, Marks Work Warehouse is the only place that sells the WindRiver brand, and the jackets were only available for one season. I'm kind of regretting not offering to buy the one of the guy I saw wearing it haha.

As for the boots in Season 1, I'm 98% positive they are Cat boots, not the ones he wore in Dead in the Water, but the all black steel toed ones.

I'm not sure about all of his Carhartt shirts but he wore an unlined version of the Carhartt S96, the Carhartt S111, he wore a Carhartt S113 a lot in the earlier Seasons.

Hope that helps, I have a whole list of all the different jackets and shirts and accesories I've identified lol.

This is some awesome info. Thanks! I am definitely going to order some of the Carhartt shirts (like the S111 in khaki) but I am just a little skeptical on the S96, as the current version doesn't look quite right to me (even if the liner were to be removed).

Do you know which model he has in the lighter color green, with the two flap pockets and brown logo?

Also, I have not been able to identify the Carhartt shirt that he has been wearing in Seasons 6/7, which has only one flapless pocket (on the left side) with the brown Carhartt logo. Any idea what model that one is?

If I somehow miraculously find one or more of the Commander Slub Twill jackets, you will be the first person to know. I am not giving up!

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

I thought the only can they used was the Indian Head can? It's made by Permatex, Hydraulic Brake Fluid.

The Esso oil can is the one most used by the boys in all seven seasons. It is seen almost every time they pour salt. The Indian Head can is rarely seen but is always in the trunk. It is most prominent in the Season 1 finale and can actually be seen briefly in Season 6 sitting on a table (I forget which episode).

I could always be wrong but I am 99% sure it has to be an Esso can. I have studied screencaps of it like a grad student, haha. I have just never seen one the size of theirs or with the right wirey handle.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

What Year Is The Supernatural Impala? My Brother Has A White 1970 Impala He Is Trying To Sell. I Wanna Buy It From Him. If The One From Supernatural Is A 1970 I'll Buy It And Paint It Black.

Good to know. I just always saw the other one in the trunk and assumed it was what they used when pouring the salt. Guess my brain just made that connection and fooled my eyes.. :lol

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

They use both cans..they've got several cars and all have weapon caches..if you look they always reuse weapons and equipment from season to season. I have lots of screencaps and after you look 100 times...you go..OH ..OK SO THAT"S WHAT THAT IS..lol

The light green one sounds like it's the Carhartt S09 but without a pic of him wearing it I cant say for sure. Here's a picture of the S09.

As for the one with the flapless pocket, that sounds like the S111, I cant find a decent picture of one but I know they have one flapless pocket on the left side.

Yes, those are the two. I tried to order a Tan S111 from an outdoors site but they returned my money, saying it was discontinued and out of stock. Not sure if it's the same with the S09. Not sure where to try getting them next...

Do you know the brand of the blue and green long-sleeve, button-up shirts he wears that have the contrast/white stitching? They have flapped pockets as well. I apologize or not posting pics but my computer is slow.

Your best bet with the discontinued Carhartt shirts is going to be eBay most likely, unless you have a store close to you that sells Carhartt than they might have something there on a clearance rack.

I think I know which ones you're talking about. He wore the green one at the start of the Season 3 finale right? Unfortunately I don't know what brand they are but I'd probably say Old Navy, or Guess. I know Old Navy sold a few different styles that were very similar to that minus the white stitching. I have a blue button up military shirt from Old Navy that looks virtually the same only like I said without the white stitching.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

:lol The box of tapes is just awesome!

Where did you find that Journal cover? Looks pretty cool.

I got it at a Barnes and Noble, they have a bunch of leather bound journals and planners. I keep hoping to walk in one day and find one like John's but still no dice.

Question for you, does that airsoft shotgun accept real shotgun shells? I've got a few of the salt and phoenix rounds, and it'd be nice to display it with a shotgun.

Honestly I've never even thought about it, the shells it comes with are about 4 inches long and just under an inch wide, so if your shells are about that size then maybe.

Mechmechanic, that's a pretty bad ass collection you've got there. That M.Julian looks great and the chevy is fooking unreal. Are you getting the smae cragar sawblades as Dean's has?

I didn't know what kind of machete he had so I just scoured around looking for one that was close. Overall its pretty much the same design just without the saw back.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Wanted to post a pic of some of my latest SPN props. :)

normal_spn_001.jpg

The Muela bowie is Dean's from seasons 1/2, as seen in "Phantom Traveler" and "Bloodlust". The S&W S.W.A.T. watch with rubber band was used in the Pilot and I belvieve most of season 1. The lighters have been used in multiple episodes discussed earlier in the thread. The sheriff's badge is not exact but damn close, as is the bullet keychain (with GM keys!). The glass Holy Water bottle is just something I found at a local antiques store. It's hard to see but it actually has raised up lettering that reads "Holy Water" with a cross and foliage. Everything is sitting on top of my Rothco M65 jacket which I will soon be replacing with an Alpha Industries.

I think when he said "Cragar sawblades", he was referring to the Cragar SuperSpoke rims that the Impala has, not a machete.
