I was just wondering about this jacket, I didn't realize its leather it looks like the same material army jacket's are made from. What brand and model is it if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah it definitely doesn't look leather on the show. It's made by Gap, like most of Dean's other jackets, I'm not sure of a model but once it gets here I'll post some more detailed pictures and get a model # and any other info I can. I know it's pretty damn rare, I've only ever seen 2 for sale, 1 on Kijiji a while ago, and this one that I just bought.

I personally think they should have used that one instead of the new leather jacket they made for him, looks cooler I think. Of course nothing beats his original leather jacket god rest its soul lol

I like his new leather jacket, but I don't like the idea that if I want one I'm going to have to fork out $2000 lol. But yeah I like this jacket, and if they would've made this his new go to leather jacket then that'd make mine even more valuable haha . It's always been one of my favorites even though it was only in the one episode, I always wished they would've brought it back.

ANOTHER WAY TO TELL THE TWO A PART IS IF THE COOLER HAS SCREWS AROUND THE LID THEN IT'S THE WRONG ONE (AS THIS IS USALLY THE BIGGER ONE OF THE TWO).

Yep. The smaller correct cooler is approx 18" wide, whist the larger incorrect cooler is approx 22" wide.


An easier way to tell, if the seller doesn't offer dimensions, is the location of the diamond on the front. (This is how I figured it out off screen-grabs)

On the correct sized cooler, the right tip of the diamond is approximately half way across - almost in line with the centre of the top latch.

On the larger cooler, the diamond's right tip is to the left of the latch.

Yeah I've seen plenty of "close enough" jackets, Banana Republic makes/made a jacket that was probably the closest.

Not sure if you guys have saw this yet but here the new 1 minute long promo for Season 8, it actually gives us a look at some new footage and gives us an idea of what the general plot will be. It kind of feels like what the show was like in the earlier seasons which to me is a VERY good thing.

Spoilers don't read any further if you don't want them.

Ben Edlund mentioned in a few interviews that the show is going back to it's roots and not so much mythology heavy as it has been in the past few years.

I was very happy with the promos and the promise of what is to come this season.

They said the same thing about seaosn 6 and 7. They were going to be more "monster of the week" like the initial few seasons - and they were. Problem was, they still sucked.
