Supernatural Props.What Ya Got... 4 Years 2010-2014

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

I am pretty new to SPN, I have OZ's Amulet and I made my own skull bracelet.
Right now I am trying to make Meg's Necklace.

I also have Bobby's blue and white mesh hat, and Jim Beaver saw it and told me that I had the right hat and that it was his favorite. I aged it with Tea.

Love to see pics of Bobby's hat. Have a label on it?

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Just a heads up to you guys, due to some personal stuff going on right now, I MIGHT be unloading most if not all of my Supernatural gear. I haven't decided if it's going up on eBay or if I'll just post them on here or on FJ.com for you guys.

Are you selling the cooler? Do you have a list? Do you want my first born? :)

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

All I can say is BALLS..lol Looks great..

The cap isn't exactly the same as Bobby's. Was watching some seaosn 7 recently, and Bobby's hat has an eagle or some kind of logo stitched in the back, plus his has a white snap fitting, whereas these Authentic Headwear "The Duke" caps have a blue Velcro backing.

Same, but different enough for the picky.

You can find the cooler on eBay regularly enough. There were 2 on there last week. I was outbid on one, but but managed to get the other :thumbsup

I'll post pics up later.

Russ, the cap is the one from the Episode Yellow Fever in Season 4, that on was just plain blue. I didn't say it was from Season 7

thanks for the tip on the cooler.

I did my research on the hat and believe me it wasn't as easy as I thought to find just that simple blue one.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

The hat Russ is referring to is a plain American Eagle hat if I'm not mistaken, I had it ID'd quite a while ago, the eagle was pretty much a dead give away. They are definitely 2 different hats, plus if Jim Beaver told her that she had the correct hat, then I'd say that's some pretty solid confirmation lol

I know of at least 4 different hats Bobby wore, the one I got, the American Eagle, he wore also a brown hat and a Sturgis hat.

I am not worried and I agree with you Comedian, Jim Beaver told me that I got the right hat and that it was his favorite to wear in the show. :)

thx

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Just finished up a custom stone for my Death ring, and it is incredibly hard to get a good picture of it :darnkids

It's a custom cut piece of Mother of Pearl, kinda nasty to sand down, but it has an incredible shine to it. Even gives it that rainbow effect that you see when Dean pops it on when he plays Death for a day.

This kinda shows the iridescent look a bit.

Haha fair enough. It just happened that I was watching season 7 at the time you posted those pictures, and he wears the blue/white trucker a lot in that season. My brain automatically assumed that was the hat you were referring to.

Didn't even consider that he'd have different versions of the same style over the years.

Nice find. They're all over eBay those hats as well. Nice and easy to find now that there's been confirmation.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

I got a reply today from Tara Larsen regarding Dean's 2 unidentified jackets. According to her, they were both custom made by the show. To be completely honest with you guys, I'm not entirely sold on that, especially the one on the left, it just seems odd to me that the show would make that jacket, and add what looks like a brand label on the side seam of the jacket. And considering they also said that Dean's new leather jacket was custom made in house, when we know for a fact that it wasn't, I'm just not sold on the idea that's this one is a custom jacket either. As for his new jacket, I have no clue, there aren't enough pictures to get a real good look at it. I'm just taking this with a grain of salt for now.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

I've been into the show for years, but I'm only just starting to get some prop replicas together - basically from the brilliant runs being done here. I've got Ozymandias' awesome replica of Dean's pendant, I went in on Chris' brilliant replica of the Demon Killing Knife, I've got Ozy's Angel Blade replica signed by Misha Collins, I did a replica of Sam's Stainless Taurus and had him sign it. And today I closed a deal for the prop I've dreamed of owning since the moment I saw it.

I just acquired a Pietta Colt Paterson 1836 Extra Deluxe.

Last year, I bought a set of grips for it online. I engraved the grips on one side and left the other side clean so Jensen Ackles could sign them. I now have a signed Colt.

Anyway someone can measure their Large Wilsons across the torso, I'm wanting to get mine tailored and want to figure out how much I'll want to take it in around the stomach. I've got a jacket that's a similar length and its a great size to use for comparison. Anyway help would be appreciated!

Man, that sure is AWESOME!!!!! Can I ask where you found this pistol? I have been looking a long time for the deluxe Paterson but I just can never find one. I find the regular version all the time for $400 to $500 but I want the deluxe pistol. GREAT JOB on hunting one down........:thumbsup

Yes you may, sir.

I found it at a site called gunbroker.com after searching for about a year and a half there and at another called auctionarms.com (which has since been rebranded, but that url will still get you there, I believe). I discovered gunbroker while on the trail of a Japanese cap-firing replica of the Paterson that ran around $350.00, and I started thinking that - if I was willing to pay that much - perhaps I should look into the real deal.

I have seen the "Extra Deluxe" on both sites before - but the auctions have always moved insanely out of my price range. Like Hydin, I figured I could find the regular one and have it engraved - then this one just popped up with a "Buy It Now" price point that I felt...okay about - so I took the plunge.

I get the sense that you might have considerably deeper pockets than mine, so you may have an easier time finding a Pietta Extra Deluxe that works for you. Good luck, my friend - I really love your collection, and this would make a great add.
