As per the picture above, I believe it is a 2mm neoprene suit with 3D printed micro detail.

I have the the ability to make the suit as they way I have suggested. However for me it just too plain so I'm either going to go and make 1 of the following

Tell me what u Guys and Gals think

Thanks

Curious how are you going to go about making one? I really like the middle one. Please feel free to pm me.

Re: Superman: Man of Steel Costume

I dont see it being a wetsuit material. That just wouldnt pick up the veins on the undersuit like that. I'd go with a think printed stretch with gloss silicone ink over a foam latex muscle suit. Looks like it might even be anchored down in places.

Just a guess by whats being used these days.

Re: Superman: Man of Steel Costume

I'm assuming that costume has a muscle suit in it doesnt it. I know you can add some muscle, but I mean he REALLY put it on. Hard to believe that's him, especially the arms and forearms....here's a pic from his most recent film the immortals. Pretty cut, but nowhere NEAR the size.

I prefer the more colorful one for sure. Either way, adding red accents to the suit immediately looks better than the film version.

I read that he trained almost 3 hours a day and was on a 5000 calorie a day diet to bulk up.

Re: Superman: Man of Steel Costume

wondering how many months he had to train..then again Helmsworth really bulked up for Thor...hell guess if all you do is have a trainer and eat right and bust ur ass i the gym, guess there would be some changes.

Re: Superman: Man of Steel Costume

Ichigo, nice job with the photoshops. Making the detailing red really improves the suit. I like the darker blue version a little better, but I think the brighter blue is the way to go. (Superman needs to contrast with Batman).

If you're not shy about making changes, I'd say ditch the texture on the shield and crotch buckle too, I think they should both be smooth.

Thanks, I will try it out and post pictures later as I am now at work.

I will delail in a new thread once I have started this monstrous project

Re: Superman: Man of Steel Costume

This is a hard character to translate in to a serious movie. its almost ment to be campy and corny, i felt this to with thor. both werent edgey or dark enough for me. i feel that the xmen first class was a perfect example of a good interpation of the xmen.

Re: Superman: Man of Steel Costume

See if you add Dr Dooms face plate/mask to the manip then you have the perfect suit right there haha.

Re: Superman: Man of Steel Costume

While this might be the most disturbing picture, this isn't even the oddest of the images and videos from Tim Burton's per-production work. I'm sure most of you saw this when we posted it in Dec, but if not it's well worth the watch.

I know we're talking post-Burton-Batman days here, and he was king of bringing a new darker-looking comicbook movie to life, but damn... this stuff was mind-blowingly odd-ball. :confused
