True, Tan Djarka, it sort of takes away from the spirit I wanted to create.

However, I can adjust. ;) I can understand that people work weekends and all that.

Who is up for it? Let's do it today!

If some of you need to go to the store, I understand. Not everyone owns as much junk as I do to be made into a saber - including, for example, top rail for a chain link fence.

So, tell me who is in for a ride?
This would not be for 2 hours, as I suggested earlier, but the deadline would be 7 p.m. Central time.

And that would be 8 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, right? Well, that gives me a little over 7 hours to build one up, minus a trip to the grocery store, meals, maybe a trip to Home Despot (to get something for a DIFFERENT saber), etc... I'm up for it.
 
Id enter, but i have no items with which to build, and pretty much no way to get to a store to GET items.

I actually thought the opposite....people would be gone on Friday nights and Saturdays, so Sunday would be the best day. Guess I was wrong.

Not sure what it'll be yet, but one cool thing about it is that the "handle" section is easily able to slide through the top portion. Gives me several options!

Actually having a life beyond the internet is no excuse!

It's beginning to look like I won't be completing the Anakin style saber though. I'll post another pic of how far I got by the deadline, anyway.

Well then, let's forget the deadline. Looks like it's just me and you, anyways, Tan! ;)

Finish it whenever, but don't rush - it is a beauty.

If it takes a little more time, then so be it......Jedi scum! ;)

I know I won't be done for a bit, and it's not really that great, but it has been fun to do.

Well, I think the saber may have been a bit ambitious for a one day build. And maybe if I'd spent more time building and less time posting...

That's not to say I haven't knocked one out in a short time before. For instance...
