Hi. I'm new to cosplaying and forums and a friend told me about this one.
I saw a lot of people looking for reference images and I did find these if anyone is interested. If gives 360 views and close close ups (on one of the pictures you can easily see different shades of black in Blondie's outfit).

I'm thinking about creating a Blondie costume (because she's the least revealing!) and I can never find any pictures that show her hairstyle-even the statues. They all show it different. It's either a ponytail or some of her hair is up in a ponytail and the rest is down.

Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone new where to get the Frye pumps? I had seen them relatively cheap but they've gone up plus i'd had trouble with shipping back then... So, can anyone help me? T.T

The Frye Betty's for Babydoll? I got mine from Last Call by Neiman Marcus. I just looked and they only have the brown/bordeaux ones and only in size 9. Looking quickly, I can only seem to find the black/blue ones from ebay and for way more than I paid for mine.

You could always try the dying the brown ones. Mine were supposed to be black but were more navy blue, so I added black polish to change the color up a bit to something I was more satisfied with.

It's called a twist braid or double chain knot. Found it here:

Thanks guys, those are really helpful tutorials, unfortunately i seem to be too dumb for my own good cause i still cant do it right lol, maybe i'll just wait until i get the katana strap i bought, so when i try it, it'll be with the real thing and hopefully it will look better than with what im trying lol

I found those tutorials and diagrams highly confusing as well. Once I got my katana strap, I played with it for quite a while, attempting to follow the tutorials, and eventually I figured out what I was doing. It took a few tries, but I was able to get it to do what I wanted. I'm sure you'll figure it out too!

Haha i hope so u.u im doing this for a client, and it also gave me the opportunity to make all of them, i'm at 80% with her babydoll outfit, and i just started on rocket's corset and amber's jacket, the last would be sweet pea and i could die a happy woman! Haha oh, and at least babydoll's dance outfit, and THEN i'll be done n.n

ahh that strap is a nightmare at first but once you do it on the actual sageo its not so bad! i made a big loop that was how long i wanted to plait down like just the length from my shoulder down to underneath the holster then with the excess spare length i positioned that in the middle of the loop then started plaiting down as if i was doing a plait in my own hair if that makes sense?

it makes sense when you start doing it! those diagrams make it look more complicated than it is!

Hi all, Incredible stuff here! I joined just because i thought this thread was insane. i work in Berkeley Cali for the great Phil Tippett. my gf was keen that i put together an Amber costume for her so i did some research and found this thread. wonderful stuff.
We have a guy here who worked on the visual effects for the film and he was chuckling looking at the details you guys noticed and nailed.
He related a story about how he tried to get 'Amber' to properly 'fly' the plane (he's a pilot) and practically going insane...

In reference to Blondie's back costume, if you play the "Sucker Punch Annihilation" game and play as Blondie, it gives you a very vague/general idea of what her back looks like.
Also, I found this reference online and in the bottom right corner, it shows a partial clear reference of her back:

Are there any more of those blends for the other characters?
