Sucker Punch costume thread

the pleats take up alot more material than you would think, measure yourself around your hips (where the skirt would sit) + seam allowance. then triple it! that's what i did. i did not want to run out halfway through. worked out just fine :) better safe than sorry...

Has the pistol Babydoll uses been id'ed? I mean, I know it's a M1911A1, but the front of the handle has texture on it and all the M1911 I've doesn't.

It's custom. She has a lot of weird things on her gun the safety and hammer etc...

I just got mine. my older one was plastic and
had the texture on the handle which would make it a Colt Goverment.

Will take more pics when it is Baby Dolled up :lol

Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place but it can be moved if neccesary.

Blondie and Amber needed for Expo London on Oct 29 -30

Costume advice can be provided but we want the best for the Masquerade in October. I'm Wiseman and we already have a Babydoll, Rocket and Sweet pea so Blondie and Amber are needed.

We literally want to recreate the "Right stuff" walk for the show so all 5 girls are paramount. :p

Did you end up with a lot left over or was it just about right? I was planning on getting 2 yards, but tripling around my waist would need 3 yards. I've already spent so much money on this outfit that I don't want to spend money on stuff and have a bunch left over.

I just returned from Dragon*Con in Atlanta, GA. Our Sucker Punch group costume came together real well and I am very proud of my girls for what we were able to achieve!
I was Blondie, and I have to say, it was the most ambitious costume that I have completed to date. So to all of the other Blondies out there... I feel ya!
I'll post a few photos - if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Good start, Paul. Now it just needs the last few parts painted silver, the cherry/rosewood grips, and the grip medallion and you'll be all set!

Not fussed it's fine as it is, it's also not going to leave my display area. I may get the grips though :)

Hey everybody! My friends and I are doing a group for NYCC in october. I'm doing Rocket and I was wondering if anyone had any idea what fabric the grey part of her boots is made out of. Me and boyfriend have been arguing about it because her thinks it's canvas but from the way the garter pulls it up I'm convinced it's some stretchy material. I've seen some awesome boots people have made on here so I'm curious to see what you solution was or if anyone has sugestions?

definitely a stretchy material, otherwise it wouldn`t mold that well to her legs :)

These girls kick some serious butt in this movie! I made the Babydoll costume already & am thinking of making Amber's next! Is anyone here going to Mega con in Feb?

So... From the various discussions, here is Lindsey's BabyDoll... Sword is wrong color as is the sageo and the sageo knot is not quite right. Thanks to PeachyKiki for making the costume at the last second after the original person commissioned failed to meet the deadline(s), epilepticsquirrel for the decals, and thebirdandthebee for the charms.

Great job and likeness. Got alot out of this thread; you all made some awesome costumes. Wouldn't mind that katana for display...

Hey all you Sucker Heads,

Here's a sneak peek of a new screen used prop I picked up.

This is Abbie Cornish's (Sweet Pea) screen used hero light-up jet pack.
