Sucker Punch costume thread

That is too cool for words!!! haha, I'm so stoked that he liked my decals. :$
It looks like you two had a great time, that smile on her face says everything. At first I didn't even notice her cast, she did a great job of hiding it! The high roller costume fits the circumstances perfectly. I'm sure it was also a lot more comfortable to wear too!

Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Even though I couldn't go, I feel like some part of me has been there now. Do you mind if I post that photo on my facebook?

One more photo. This shows, more than any, that cosplayers are the best and care for each other. We didn't know any of these people yesterday, but you couldn't tell it from this photo.

ooooh i envy you guys soooo much, the pictures are awesome and MAN YOUR HIGH ROLLER IS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD, well, actually beyond than good, more like excellent :D and you are so friggin lucky you got to meet Alex :3 hahaa and you nailed 2 cosplays from one movie, and your daughter looks soooo good <3 seriously, nothing but talent here :D

I'm off to a convention in England next weekend called Expo and have now 99% finished my Sweet Pea costume, I have found this topic very useful for the information I needed to complete my cosplay. I currently have my pictures of my WIP uploading to photobucket and you can also find my cosplayisland profile on my profile where I have some of the pictures of my costume progress. I've had to use high heeled thigh high boots for Sweet Pea as I found their flat counterparts has smaller measurements on the calves and thighs. The wig isn't quite right as I still haven't sussed out how to do her hair style. I don't have the right under gloves but I do have the harbringer fingerless gloves (again thank you to someone who posted a link to them on here). I finished my weapons set up on my yolk this evening and even though the sword is plastic and the gun isn't the right one (I struggled to find a bb version of hers) I painted it as close as I could to hers. On the whole I'm pretty happy wih how my outfit turned out and hope to be able to add some WIP pictures tomorrow and some pictures of the costume in action next weekend after my convention.

Thank you for your compliments, but we were surrounded by talent there...I saw so many good builds that it was difficult to keep up. I am sorry that the convention is over and we have to return to normal life now.

Again, thanks, but I'm afraid there aren't any more High Roller pics. The cameras concentrated -- as they should -- on the girls, and my High Roller suffered partly from inaccurate clothing (I had to go with whatever I could find in my closet) and the very obvious fact that I look nothing like Jon Hamm.

Having said that, I do remember posing for a few pics with lobotomy pick poised over Babydoll's eye...I'll ask the photographer when we make contact post-Con. I wasn't very comfortable acting out that particular scene.

My German zombie getup is the one I'm proud of. Too bad I only wore it the one day. I'll wear it again in the future. I liked Slavefive's German soldier, as well.

But the girls were the real attraction.

Thanks again for your compliments...it helps raise my spirits a bit, now that I'm feeling the onset of post-Con depression.

Just wanted to see what you guys thought of my Sweet Pea outfit now I finally got my pictures uploaded. Some of the pics were taken before I shaped the sides and added the hood.

Parks! Your daughter is super cute. Glad she could make it to SDCC despite her cast.

Love the SDCC pics. :)

It's a shame that they're tights, but it's way better than what I posted! I'm sure they could be turned into thigh highs easily. Thanks for posting them! I also found these: http://www.stockingirl.com/Merchant...ode=miccina&Product_Code=54431&Category_Code=

I like them because they're already thigh high, but they have a lace top. </3 :(

naurarwen: Nice job!

How did you make the weapons yoke? I'm kind of stuck on what to do for that part.

I actually used an British army issue webbed yoke, it was something I noticed was mentioned on here. It was originally camo with green edging but I used a watered down acrylic paint on the main part and black fabric paint on the edges. I also had to cut off some of the straps on the back and add the buckles to the part that goes round your waist. The I just added velcro to the back for the sword and made a pleather holster for the gun, the one for the gun isn't exact but I needed something I knew would hold the weight of the gun as its quite heavy. Also if you do plan on doing it this way be very careful when you sew through certain parts of the yoke as where you need to attach the velcro there is about 4 different layers of fabric and the needles can get jammed if you do it on a sewing machine

Hey Guys! Thought I'd post my end product of Blondie up here as well! I was at SDCC as well, but briefly saw some of you. I had a blast with this costume! I wish I had some of the machine guns, but that will come with time.

I have to apologize for not showing up to the photoshoot, I REALLY wanted to come, but I had prior obligations and was unable to attend. Hopefully I"ll see you all at Dragon Con and make up for that!!! Anyhow, Here's a few with RebelAllianceBarbie and I as Blondie and Babydoll... :) Jim Balent also took a picture with us, love him! :)
Anywho I will try to post some of the back so yall can check out the rig if ya wanted. Until then.... xoxo!

You really did her justice girl! I`ve seen almost every Blondie cosplay and, excluding one or two, they all sucked :/ but you have really pulled it through and look a LOT like Vanessa too, which helps LOL. anyway, love the pics n.n

Cyna Myn you look a lot like Vanessa Hudgens! Your cosplay turned out awesome! Great job! It would be really cool if we could all meet up, but I live in Brazil, who knows one day right? Lol

So here is something pretty amazing my boyfriend did for me!
