Sucker Punch costume thread

Has anyone identified the Babydoll shoes yet? I'm scrambling to put that costume together for my daughter for Comic-Con (18 days and counting).

Yeap the leather parts are made from pleather which was quite thin and stretched a bit, but for almost everything i glued its sides to make it double and also so that it wouldnt show the black part underneath :p given that it was pretty thin it wasnt extremely difficult to put the studs (which were all hand applied T_T ) but sometimes i needed to make a little cut so that they would get in better, if you have some other questions just ask n_n

Hey I have a question, how did you do the tomahawk holster? Did you make it or buy it?and your blondie looks awesome by the way!

Wow, I just went through all of these pages today and you guys are crazy talented.

Anyway, I know I saw someone ask a question loads of pages back about Amber's hair roll, and if that person (or anyone else) still needs a bit of help on that...first, check out how to do victory rolls (which I know someone else mentioned). One thing I want to add though is that victory rolls (and especially the back roll Amber has) will probably be much easier with a hair rat or hair rat roll, which is basically a thing that is specifically made for you to wrap your hair around. Sounds weird, but works.

For the tomahawk holster I measured the blade and then made a paper pattern by looking at a poster i found without the sucker punch logo on, if you'd like I can take a pic of the holster so it's easier to understand :)

ok so, here's a good ref pic, it's from the DVD cover

and here's a pic of my axe in the holster for better reference of the size of the curve, so you can see it doesnt cover the whole blade and that it has a tiny strap that holds the handle in place. Also, I put a small flexible aluminum wire on the border of the curve so it could maintain form because the fabric is quite thin, I suppose if you used real leather you can leave it as it is :)

Also I just noticed how crappy is Blondie's costume in that pic, seriously if that's a stunt version or something they put 0 love in it ¬¬ I mean even her gauntlet it like popped out XD

Thanks for the tip Gallifreyan. I googled for victory rolls but couldn't really find the bun kind. They mostly gave me curls. Do you have any tips on how I can make this on a wig? My hair is unfortunately too short to even tie a stump.

Cereza you look great! Love your Babydoll photos. :D

Hi, I am new here and I love all your ideas on the Sucker Punch costumes. I am hoping to do Babydoll for SDCC and I was just wondering what you all recommend for her weapons? I was wondering if you knew what was allowed and also I have to fly out there so I know that I am limited on that part.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

You did a terrific job! Can't wait to see all these in person. Will you be at Dragon*Con?

Well, victory rolls are a very similar idea to what Amber has...you would take nearly the same style but instead of doing it on the front, do it in the back. A book that's been super helpful to me in the past with similar styles is called Vintage Hairstyling. I seem to have misplaced my copy so I can't really tell you if it has the exact same style as Amber's, but it might be helpful anyway.

Actually, just found this tutorial that seems really helpful: The Freelancer's Fashionblog: HAIRDO'S #3 - All rolled up

Sorry, I have near zero experience with wigs. I have heard that with synthetic hair you can't use any heat styling but you can use steam to create styles that will stay in place...I would do much more research on that though.
