Studio scale Tantive IV

This would be a great kit to work on (if available). Not sure why none of the current licensed SW model manufacturers have made the Tantive IV yet.

I just resumed working on the SS Tantive IV after more than a year enduring what i call an "artistic break". I just had to re-boot, like i have done several times before. I will post updates as soon as there is something of substance to show.

Thats great to hear Lasse, and good to know your well and enjoyed the time out.
Look forward to seeing more of what is something epic in the Starwars genre, i feel nobody else will tackle this ship in my time, so its an honor to see just one man, going his own way and nailing a very intricate build.

Good news you are back at it and better you had a break to recharge, we all need to sometimes.

After seeing the size of the Tantive IV I have to admit I would need some rest after getting it to this point. Good on you, Lasse. I have pretty much loved watching all of your builds and this one is the most ambitious I have ever seen. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see you finish this piece of art.

Now, i have been working on the paint scheme and how to do the weathering on the cockpit section. There is still a lot of weathering to be done, but i am pretty happy this far down the road.
I also have o lot more modeling to do on the engines before this puppy is ready to fly...

YES YES YES YES!!!!!! Great to see you took some time to recharge, and apparently it works, the paint job is looking fantastic!

Really fantastic work Lasse! This is coming together beautifully. I'm excited to watch the paint job progress.

Todays 12 hour session has paid off. It looks a bit funky with all the pure white, bur each panel will be graded slightly differently later. Dark washes and drybrushing will also help :)
