Guys today was more of the same. Secondary hull lighting is finished except for the side mounted blinkers. I should have those and the NAV boards in a couple of days. So I'm moving on to the saucer section lights tomorrow. I'll post video tomorrow.

Probably too late to suggest this Steve but one trick I learned with bright white LEDs to get a nice even glow was to coat the outside with acrylic white fluorescent paint. The bulb glows brighter in all directions much like an incandescent bulb would.
I think this is due to the paint reflecting light back into the LED where it bounces around causing the paint to fluoresce.
I've done this on my most recent build and it really works! You might try it for the saucer.
 
The last thing I want to do is spend countless hours and several sources on lighting. I tired that way back when. These people had some of the stuff I needed, other had some of the other thing's I needed. I'd get the resistors somewhere else. The lead wire. The transformer from another source. Pure madness. Hated it. So Randy sets me up with everything you need from one source. The LEDS I'm using are 180s. They work great and are nice and warm. I'm good but as always gents thanks for your kind and thoughtful input. ;)

There's lots of ways to skin this cat. I understand your frustration and your choices. I'm going to try some other things and see how they turn out.

Should we share your thread or create a new one when Paul and I start making progress?

Steve talking about sales I have seen your work showcased on Modelers Miniatures and Magic, I don't know if you have used its Kit Alert section its free and the site has quite a few viewers worldwide, maybe some Saudi Prince out there with money to burn always wanted his own Big "E". :lol Ray.
 
I can't beleive I'm waiting up hoping video number 36 might turn up some time soon! I know, get a life, right!

Video will be up in the morning guys. Part 36. The engineering section and saucer are all lighted now. What a freaking bear!

Looks good though. Diver NAV board are on the way so I can install them and close up the two hulls. Bussards will be later on.

That thing is looking very great Steve. I am thinking realistically 3 - 4 more weeks and you have her in the bag.
