Keep in mind folks this camera is over exposing the lights a bit. The beacon is just right now and a bit green but this camera just makes it a hot spot in the dimly lighted room.
What a journey it has been to see that picture. Even with masking tape and no engines, you can just feel the magnificence of this project. I am in awe.
The illusion of a huge ship is complete even without the engines. Captain's log....star date 1512.2....on our fifth day of star mapping we suddenly found ourselves in another strange world....filled with alien craft, monstrously huge tools and bric a bracs....... seriously Steve, what a terrific job on the Big E.
Steve, I don't think we will ever see better. Usually Models look like models until they are completed and weathered but this looks like it is in spacedock getting repairs. I admire that you show this build honestly and show how to fix things that are not quite perfect. My hat is off to you Steve. Would it be easy to fit a dimmer/pot to the lights so the brightness could be adjusted to compensate for the room that the Enterprise will be displayed in?
John.
I need to look up better words in a thesaurus; 'AWESOME' is just too weak to describe this.
Thank you Steve, for being such a fan of my favourite ship!!
Just watched the video and at the end when the camera was under the saucer it looked almost like the shot in the show (and on the cover of TMOST) with the phasers firing. Also I noticed you looked really happy at the end of the video (as you should). I'll say it yet again: fabulous!!!
As for the opening of the saucer ever it could be done but it won't be pretty. LEDs have a hell f a half life so I should not ever need to get in there in my life time. I hope.
This model is a piece worthy of a museum Steve just like the original, this thing is Sweet like ice cream with caramel sauce and chocolate sprinkles , Lol.
Wow the lighted parts look fantastic and the dish got painted ....great job and still a joy to watch it all come together.
Wish I had the cash to order one.
Museum piece in the making.

Incredible, Amazing, Fantastic, First Rate, Earth Shattering......you name it! And to top it off, Steve Neill is a nice, humble and very talented human being. I think it's safe for me to say thanks Steve.......from all of us.
