Just PM me. Thanks Barry.

Waiting on my shipment from Harbor Freight on lathe tools and a Drill Chuck. Then I'm going to make that deflector dish. Started on the intercoolers. I only have them and a few small parts to make for the nacelles and I can start molding.

Steve

Not sure yet. I first have to mold it, produce and couple of pulls from the molds. Assemble two and make up instructions. Depending on how much labor and materials cost it ends up being, that will determine the price to be fair.

The CR kit of the same size was 3100.00 but that included the lights and the inner structure and stand. I will leave that up to the builder which I believe most modelers would prefer. I know I would.

If I had to guess, I'd say between 1200-1500.

All epoxy glass hull. No polyester. Epoxy gel coat too. Alumilite small parts. Acrylic domes.

Hope that helps.

Steve

So! As soon as all the decals are on the NX I have about a two week gap to either build someone another model or work on this.

It looks like I will have that couple of weeks before I start a Blockade Runner for a return customer. With any luck and a strong wind this will all start this weekend.

A few small parts for the Nacelles and I'm going to lathe that pesky deflector. I hope. I mean I hope I can do it that way or it will have to be CNC cut-printed.

Steve

I don't even have to guess that the quality and skill of that model are no where near what you've put into yours, Steve...there's no love in it, ya know? :)

Rob

Rob I wouldn't be too sure of that. Maybe the build. But not the masters as they were done by my old friend Greg Gein. I'm pretty sure he did the original build for DS9.

This model was not screen used and a pull from Greg's molds I recon.

Thanks though Rob. But Greg is the best there is!

Steve

The talent you have is amazing i would rather pay more for your build then for the one on ebay any day.
You are a Master.

That is correct! There was a limited run of these done years ago taken directly from Greg Jein's molds for the DS9 model. They were priced at $10K each. They also did a run of the Klingon battle cruiser from the Next Generation and I want to say that they also did the Klingon D7 ship from Trials and Tribble-ations too.

I saw one of each hanging from the ceiling, and for sale, at the Viacom store on a trip to Chicago in October of 1997. The store also had the Gorn and Salt Vampire costumes on display at the time as well as what were purported to be original props that, even then, looked dubious to me.

It's been so long I don't remember if I had a camera with me.

Yes, the back up model for Trials and Tribulations was lighted and sold for $ 10,000 at the Experience.
The guy at that time said the other two models they sold in Chicago were mastered by Prop builder Greg Jein as a request of the store to be sold to the public. He mentioned the original Screen used prop was being kept in a vault on the paramount lot. It was very heavy and they were worried someone would drop it during the shoot which was why they built back-ups.

They were really cool models but Steve is doing a great job so far too. Can't wait to see what else your doing with it Steve.

That model currently resides in the Science Fiction Museum in Seattle, but I'm not sure if it's currently on display.
