Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release) (Spoilers)

Just spent the last three days watching the Despecialized versions of Episodes IV, V, and VI. A few things that got me wondering.
1. In Return of the Jedi, when Han Solo is in the Imperial Shuttle Tydirium cockpit he is staring at the Millennium Falcon. Leia asks him what is wrong and his response is that he feels like he is never going to see her (the MF) again. In the new trailer for SW-TFA his enthusiasm in saying, "Chewie, we're home!" could be related to his loss of the Falcon thus making his earlier thoughts true....?
2. At the end of Return of the Jedi did Leia already know Vader was her father? If so why wasn't she next to Luke when he was cremating Darth Vader's body in the bonfire? You figure she would also want to pay her respects to her father along side with her newly found brother.
3. Also at the end of Return of the Jedi when Luke "relieves" Vader of his saber by removing his right hand. What happened to Vader's saber? Is this something Kylo Ren is also looking for to add to his collection? We would think that it too fell somewhere.

Luke has had a year or so to come to terms with Vader being his father, to have the yearning to know his long-lost father that we see all the way back in the first film be realized in the unswerving love that brings Anakin back. Leia's had a few hours to try to process that the scary dude she'd known and avoided as a senator, who tortured her for information about the Rebels, who helped destroy her entire damn planet, who froze her boyfriend... is her biological dad, even though he assisted in the cold murder of the man who raised her. I don't think "respects" are high on her list of feelings for the man.
3. Well, the saber Luke lost on Cloud City ended up in a waste-collection station somewhere. The one Vader lost on the Death Star II was nuked a few minutes later. *shrug*

1. I thought perhaps that was the case, that for some reason Han had not been in the Falcon for some time for some reason and that was the context of that line of dialogue but nothing I have read indicates that. I'm not sure but I think we assume he is referring to being in the Falcon but that may not be the case.

True. Based on what MSW said about the Falcon (bearing Finn and Rey) being picked up by a larger ship commended by Solo (IIRC), and given that the shot in the trailer looked like Han and Chewie are in the main hallway of the Falcon with their weapons raised as if they had just boarded and are checking out the ship they intercepted, my assumption was that the "we're home" moment is the moment after boarding when Han realized the ship he intercepted was just "any" Corellian freighter but was, in fact, the Falcon.
That being said, it would be a very beautiful "Han Solo-like' moment if he was making his statement after all of the dire situation the characters face has been explained to him and he resolves to join the adventure after being away for a while - i.e. "okay, the situation is dire, our friends need rescuing, and we're the only one who can do it - Chewie, we're home."
But that wouldn't explain why Chewie and Han appear to have their weapons trained on whoever they are talking to. So I suspect it's the former - they come in armed, realize they are on their old ship and thus are "home."

I think the inclusion of Luke's saber in these films is interestibg. I think if you bring more OT sabers back it gets a little gimmicky.
I also think Vader's saber being in the midle of an exploding Death Star main reactor might render it a bit less recognizable than Anakin's...

Those have been out for a few weeks. My walmart still has several of them.
He was responsible for blowing up her planet and her adopted parents, friends, relatives, etc. I doubt she was in any hurry to pay her respects...
