There is no script as yet, so the date is BS, as with the Rey movie and Daisy Ridley appearing last year.

Favreau has to approve it moving forward, but until then, it's a fake movie.

ILM Dude just said that they are scheduled to start actual production on this in the fall.

I could totally believe that.

But the show could be in production and I would still not assume they have a script yet. Not by default. This is Disney/LFL we're talking about.

Ryan Gosling in a Star Wars film...??...I got a bad feeling about this....:lol:

I think Star Wars movies tend to thrive on B grade or unknown actors. I like Gosling in a lot of his films, but he's a too big a star not over shadow a Star Wars film.

I could be wrong and if anyone can pull it off, it could be him.

Alec Guinness? Peter Cushing? James Earl Jones? Liam Neeson? Ewan McGregor? Oscar winner Natalie Portman? I wouldn't call any of them B grade at the time they were hired...

Where did I say any particular actor was 'B' grade...??

I said that SW movies tend to thrive on B grade actors and unknowns, none of the actors you reference were big A grade movie stars at the time.

Without getting off track, MY opinion is that Gosling is TOO BIG a star and that MAY undermine the movie.

Just an opinion, just like any other, except my is completely right...!
