Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release) (Spoilers)

When he was the only force user left alive, sure he was the strongest then, but that was kind of by default.

The Force Unleashed games didn't help matters either. As Yahtzee said in his review, it's hard to see Luke as the second coming of the Jedi when all he could do was move a lightsaber by grimacing real hard at it for an hour while Galen Marek is clearing entire hallways full of stormtroopers with a cough. That's one thing I will not be missing from the original EU.

Yeah, we saw most of the good jedi who believe in love and what's right be killed by one of their own, who after spending 30 years murdering Jedi, civilians, and his own men, kills his boss to save his son and is rewarded with eternal life in jedi heaven?

I would be a bit pissed off if I went to heaven and found Hitler was there, because in the last minute of his life he accepted ****** as his savoir.

They did that with Bin Laden on Family Guy. He quickly accepts ***** right before the SEALs shoot him. :lol That's one part I don't believe applies to everyone.

As to why Anakin is there as a Force ghost, I'd say it's partly because he redeemed himself and partly because of his power. How do we know that Anakin didn't figure it out on his own? Qui Gon did, with only a percentage of Force power that Anakin had. My own belief is that Yoda and Obi Wan used their power to bring Anakin into the Force.

Remember, Vader saw Obi Wan vanish right in front of him on the first Death Star. Vader knew SOMETHING was up and I'll bet did a little bit of research. Maybe even kept that secret from Palpatine?

In the last season of CW, when Yoda is first hearing Qui Gon, Anakin walks up & hears Qui Gon too. According to Filonni, this is a hint as to how Anakin is able to retain himself after death.

Folks can call it retcon, EU, refuse to believe it, or whatever, but it's canon. If one watches the Mortis episodes, & Yoda's from the last season, most of it is explained.

Seems like Obi wan and Yoda never even talked about redeeming Vader, they were pretty dead set on Luke taking him out. I bet when Ani showed up in Ghost land they were like " WTF are you doing here?"

So, where are the Ep7 spoilers? All I see here are the same old OT vs PT arguments

Gotcha. Still it would not surprise me if she is tempted to walk that path. I fully expect her character to be the lead of this trilogy.

I hope the Lando bit is true. I want to see Admiral Calrissian! The EU kept wanting to put him back to pre Cloud City where he was running schemes all over the place.
