Well, this series is for the kiiiids!! And good for them![]()
The OT hit us right in the heart...I often wonder in this generation, if and when that could happen again. It's a tall order...because it was a phenomenon back then...
The Easter bunny in the back ground! LOLIf my teenage boys are any indication, two recent things hit them in the heart very hard: Avengers: Infinity War (not Endgame), and Into the Spider-Verse.
That being said, as adults sharing content with kids, well-timed old stuff can still do it, but that's a hard target to hit. My 15-year-old was so enamored of The Watchmen that he scrimped and saved to put together an authentic Rorshach costume this year!

So yes, childhood magic still happens...it's just a little different.
No, i get it but i'm talking on the level of what the OT meant to an entire generation. I've got a 27, 25, 17 and 8 yr old...all of them have seen the OT, PT, ST and i didn't push a thing...just introduced them to it. Not a single one of them is a fanatic of any of them. My older boys gravitate towards the PT, my daughter, youngest son and myself the OT. I would say the closest "movement" i've seen of sorts since the OT has been Harry Potter and LOTR...Not saying i'm right...just my perception.
I think deep down, we all know a lot of it was timing and where we were, in life and technology, it was a magical time. I truly love to see joy on kids faces. I just happen to think that with all the money that goes into the entertainment end that they are being shorted in quality and are given a "light show with ooohs and aaahhs" rather than good, hearty stories that they will remember when they are our age. Just my thoughts.
When I was a kid, I also wrote a short story about Luke, post-ROTJ…
In my version, Luke was a chronically depressed soul, hiding like a coward, and waiting to die on a craggy island, somewhere…

I had the ET flashback on this as well.
I did the same for the SF 49er's logo on a Niners themed Mando helmet.Just like how they Star Wars-ififed Coke for Galaxy’s Edge. XD
Evidently…here are the chairs that were converted for The Skeleton Crew…

This is the only Star Wars we get for, 1 year? 2 years? what comes after this, Andor s2 and Ahsoka s2?
Price is for 2 chairs...which is cheap in my book (there's wood too, so more expensive). In the trailer, the set people added the little ass padthat is a large price tag for 2 chairs, did these originate at Tiffany's?
I shop thrift and closeout. All else is blurry and I can't see it. Like some episodes of my favorite fandom.Price is for 2 chairs...which is cheap in my book (there's wood too, so more expensive). In the trailer, the set people added the little ass pad![]()
