Super interested in this show. I'm a sucker for kid adventures like The Goonies and Stranger Things and I think Jon Watts is an excellent choice to helm this. Jude Law is a great get as well, sounds like fun!

All I've heard is that there are kids trying to get back home or something. It might be set somewhere like the Unknown Regions. I've heard rumors they run into Ahsoka or have some cross with her show and Mando.

If it's following the western trope it will be something along the lines of a younger generation seeking redemption/justice for wronged/RIP'ed parent/parents with guidance of an old gunslinger/pirate/smuggler.

I can't wait until the episode with the giant vegetable aliens. Seriously that's the ONLY Lost In Space episode I've seen and it was enough.

Every time I hear about this show, I think of the following shows/movies:

Space Cases
Mission Genesis
Earth Star Voyager
Space Camp

I seriously think that it will be different, though. These are just what I think of from the brief synopsis given so far.

The current rumors are that the show is set in the same approximately 9 years after the Battle of Yavin timeframe as The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett, which would also include parts of the upcoming Ahsoka show, rumored extensive flashbacks and force visons in that show not withstanding.

The rumors I've heard said that both Ahsoka and Mando might cross paths with people on this show. The Mando part supposedly wouldn't happen until the fourth season of The Mandalorian.
