For what it's worth, animefan - and I'm sure it'd make your job easier! - I believe the film helmets do not have removable faceplates and that is just an aesthetic built into the one-piece face cast. Of course, that would leave you the option of inventing an underside and making that scribed line a functional separation instead! Kind of a fun exercise, and wouldn't be one day be rendered inaccurate by seeing what's under there in the film.
If any of you are planning to build out the full First Order snowtrooper costume with this helmet and need accurate boots, give me a shout!

Yes I think I will do a separate mold for the snowie with the face shield build in

I just need to finish the dome and then I will collect the deposits for the snowie

First 10 to get their deposits in will get the tier 1 pricing on the flamtrooper.
