It was announced last year IIRC or maybe the year before.Speaking of, when did they announce they went from five planned seasons to only two? I was surprised to learn that.

I had always understood that it would be two separate seasons which spanned five years of story.Speaking of, when did they announce they went from five planned seasons to only two? I was surprised to learn that.
I think that's the point. We knew NOTHING of her in ROTJ other than she was a leader in the Rebellion. The ROTS scene with her helping to "form" the Rebellion with Bail Organa was cut from the final film, and we only had a few quick shots of her in Rogue One. If you think about it, up until Andor we had the thought that Mon Mothma was this elegant, civilized, and stoic leader of the highest moral principals... based on nothing whatsoever.I did have mixed feelings about Mon Mothma's storyline, as a whole. So much of it was just her pacing her apartment and worrying about covering up her sketchy financial transactions. I guess I expected more political maneuvering and intrigue, juicy Senate sparring, etc. Her kinda-sorta whoring her own daughter off via the Chandrilan betrothal tradition stuff in exchange for covering her financial tracks was kinda disturbing but overall her plotline wasn't as interesting as I hoped, although Genevieve O'Reilly did a great job and portrays the character so well.

Sort of how we all thought that Boba Fett was a bad mamma jamma, until we saw his series…I think that's the point. We knew NOTHING of her in ROTJ other than she was a leader in the Rebellion. Andor shows the lengths she was willing to go, against her nature, to cover her tracks. IRL, people will make bad decisions that go against their disposition when pushed into a corner.
Really enjoyed the fact that she didn’t thank him either. “I should say thank you.” Is a fantastic line of dialogue in response to his actions.
Okay, two thoughts that I am thoughting:
1. Showing that the parts Andor was making ended up in the Death Star isn't intended to be a big revelation - it's just a nice bonus. That's why it's after the credits! To me, what it shows is that rather than Andor making some stuff that could potentially be anything, it states definitively that he's making parts for the weapon of war that ends up killing him. Through his actions in Rogue One, he helps avenge his own forthcoming death!
2. I think Syril's interest in Dedra is not romantic. He views her as a substitute mother figure. He can't please his mother and win her approval so he tries to win approval from another figure that can give him the validation he seeks. My prediction is that Dedra uses Syril and then ultimately rejects him when he's no longer useful. Syril can't handle being spurned by his substitute mother figure and ends up killing her.
Series isn't anything I take to heart as a matter of fact I've never intend on watching one episode. People are hungry for new content and will watch anything to get it, watching it doesn't mean it's good. Termura Morrison was a good Jango and clone, it stops there for me. Like the Rings of Power, they just make up **** on the spot. Both Fetts are still beadass in the OT and Prequel in my book.Sort of how we all thought that Boba Fett was a bad mamma jamma, until we saw his series…
Bad mamma jamma's often ride on the back of a sarlaac. Or so I'm told.Sort of how we all thought that Boba Fett was a bad mamma jamma, until we saw his series…

Oh definitely. I will say I think many of our views of her were also shaped by the old EU as much as anything. Frankly, it's not even clear exactly who she is, purely within the context of RoTJ, other than presumably a prominent rebel leader.I think that's the point. We knew NOTHING of her in ROTJ other than she was a leader in the Rebellion. I never saw it and it makes zero sense. I doubt the ship could maneuver itself into that position and the amount of heavy tractor beams you'd need to reorient it like that wouldn't make sense. You would just land it and start dismantling it. I think it's a case of concept artists trying to be clever.
Mon Mothma will have to sacrifice everything for the cause. That's Nature; you take from one side, but you have to give to the other side...and sometimes the "Give" doesn't match the "Take"Everyone seems to lose something dear in this series; either their morals, their family, their life, or the whole combo (even on the Empire's side, Dedra will have to give something for what she takes...ultimately).
But why would park it on its side to break it down? It makes no logical sense to me. It requires a whole lot more logistics since it would take more effort and resources to move it into place on its side and you'd have to create a special cradle to hold it on its side. Then once you have it on its side, it's now a whole lot taller than it would be sitting on its "keel" and you now have to have a bunch of specialized equipment and put personnel at greater risk when breaking it up.It's been broken up and is supported by several colums. They could could havva attached local anti-grav boosters to get it in that position. Makes total sense (in the SW universe) to me
It also looks like a part is being hoisted off
