The back story before her being thrust into the spotlight would have been better.

Sure, but it will have the same low viewership as all the rest of the Disney Marvel shows and that's the only real measure of success for these things. They are always ignored and lose money. It doesn't matter what individuals like or dislike, it matters if it is successful and that's a demonstrable metric.

That would fund maybe 1 suit. From what you see in trailers there are several, just like Tony. The black panther movie she originated in made it seem like a side thing as well. We'll see I suppose if they answer that or not. My guess is it'll be a throwaway line about Shuri seeing her potential and putting her the Wakanda payroll.
