Star Trek (2009 J.J. Abrams movie) Phaser Defined Thread!

Oh all right, I'll pixelate for modesty.

Things are hotter when left to the imagination anyway. :love

Does this look like it's the right size to anyone else ? It looked to big when I started, and now that I've had it in my hand I think it's perfect, but some how everything I make is always a little to big. So right now I just don't trust myself. Dose it look right to anyone else ?

It's just a cut out, but I can't leave yet and I don't have anything to do this weekend after I cut all the copper out of my friends house, so I'm going to throw this together to take up my free time, until I can get my car to an inspection station.

I was really hoping there would be others doing the same. It could be like a race. I really like competition and it's fun to compare notes with others when your doing something small that doesn't take much time and everyone can stay on the same page.

Anyway I'll post pictures tomorrow. I'm going with this size.

Oh I think that's like a big trouble thing. Like we'd both get band and the site could even get into trouble. We really can't talk about doing something like that. I may be able to get away with giving one or two to a few of my close friends, like if we were going to go to a Star-trek convention in costume and members of my away team needed to be armed, as we all bought licensed items and other licensed merchandise that paramount would get a cut of, but I would not dream of selling anything like this. Don't even joke about it, it's not cool.

Alright, thats cool, dident mean to offend, this board is full of unliscenced trek props, dident know I did something wrong :confused

I think I can do this piece in my bedroom. I can only get my shop up to 55 degrees and I've had a real hard time with paint and bondo and even mold builder at temperatures under 75 degrees. So here is to hoping.

Sorry if I killed this thread for anyone.

Feel free to use my illustrator line art I made with the recent photo and my memory of how it looked to aide in your prop build.

Well I can't get a clear picture today but this looks really good to me and all the lines are very sharp, so I'm cutting it off and moving on to the carving witch I can do inside where it is warm.

I'm still expecting some one to post pictures of their completed replica with a note saying they finished it in under two hours and that I suck. Well until then enjoy these.
