I recently got a 3d printer, and I've been having fun using it to make 3d props, including several phasers. I've already made a replica of the phaser used in Star Trek Nemesis, which I have tons of reference for, but next I'd like to tackle a variant of the same prop that showed up in one or two scenes in the finale of Star Trek Voyager. Unfortunately, what few references I've been able to find for the paint job are unclear and contradictory. Can anyone help me out?
What I've been able to glean so far is that the props were painted similar to the standard phaser props from Voyager, with a grey body and a black muzzle. However, I don't know the exact color for the body. Some references suggest the same semigloss gunmetal finish as the regular voyager phasers, but some imply that they were the same metallic steel as the Nemesis version. One source even claimed that they were an even lighter grey.
