Re: Space 1999 Eagle Transporter Build Club UPDATED 15/04 (PIC HEAVY!)
The one prop I actually am trying to find is an old metal radio flyer wagon... I've hi-jacked your guys thread enough for today
The best I can do is a small metal Radio Flyer replica I have, I think about 14 inches long!:confused
No worries about "hi-jacking" the thread...it takes the pressure off us to divert eyes once in a while!
I don't think you'd be banned, Darren, but I kinda know the feeling somewhat. Every time I drive into a particular town where I once (the only time in my life) ran a stop sign, I always feel invisible eyes on me. Considering it was about 30 years ago, I'm probably okay...but my guilt lives on!:$ My conscience won't let me live it down!
Oh, yeah, a little progress:
Okay, winding up the day by finishing the side panels. I printed out the control panel rear ends which are the ones that intersect the trapezoids (the front ends I'll deal with separately after I've built the main control panel across the front of the seats: best to sub-divide headaches into their smallest components, I find).
I took the printouts and glued them to thin white cardboard, as before. What I think I neglected to mention was that, as is customary for me when dealing with computer-printed details, is to let the ink dry and rub in some mink oil to the paper printouts. This seems to do well to protect the ink from the rigors of air and time, as well as moisture. As you can see, I've used quite a bit over the years...once in a while even for boots!

I took the knife and carefully scribed a scratch line where the trapezoid intersects. Then as per usual I rubbed in a bit of wood ash into the scribe to make it visible. Now it should be quite easy to make custom-fit pieces, so the trapezoids won't have to ride on top of the raised panels!
