Interesting, Chrisisall! Having to abandon the base more out of necessity rather than choice is somewhat bleak...but it fits the series, since it was rarely happy endings and smiles all around!

Thanks, robn1 :lol. The guy Whois building the 88 just feels that 1/12 is a little oversized for his liking. It's,a,funny thing but I have seen it work at one scale and not at another.

On the off chance you may revisit the group at sometime, I would love to not recreate the wheel and find out where you contracted your photo etch work from. I'm looking at having to teach myself photo etching for the straps and brackets (command module to cage, cage to spine straps/brackets, etc.), or I can just pay the same place that you went to that hopefully might still have the files a decade later. Cheers.
