Solo: A Star Wars Story

Re: Star Wars Anthology (Young Han Solo)

He seems like a nice and likable guy so more power to him. I certainly don't dislike him at this point though I'm also certainly not picking up any Han Solo "vibe" some of you seem to be getting. I wonder what the chances are his appearance will be altered, either through prosthetics or CGI? My guess is slim to none but it is a possibility I hadn't considered until fairly recently. It'd likely be hard to do without looking goofy though.

No, I would say he'd act Han his own way,...pulling on mannerisms created by Harrison,..I would say 15 minutes into the film we will be immersed & over the difference,....in the car on the way home everyone would be wondering what all the fuss was about

No, they would never do that for the main character for the entire film. You get his hair cut like Han, put him in the outfit, let him have the same body language and mannerisms, even his smile is crooked, and this kid is going to kill it. Not everyone will accept him based on looks or voice but I bet a lot will on the quality of the portrayal no that is way more important.

And the most important question: Will he have the famous chin scar? Will it be CG? :p

Funny, I noticed that Alden seems to have some kind of mole there already. But the scar has never really been a major part of Han Solo, as opposed to Indiana Jones, which the Young Indy actor DID have added.

Now I don't think they'll do prosthetics or CG, but...

Lol.

Nothing will ever come close to the original SNL lost Star Wars audition tapes sketch, but this definitely had a few good laughs in it. Hader and Goldblum were the best, but Nanjiani, McCarthy, Arnett, and Middleditch were also good. (As for Sandler, it's hard to believe America ever thought he was funny.)

Thanks for posting this.

I'm just hoping to get this movie out of the way so we can move on. If it turns out to be halfway decent, great, but for these non-episodic films, I'm far more interested in seeing new characters being explored (like Rogue One is doing).

Re: Star Wars Anthology (Young Han Solo)

I would bet money that they don't cast the same actor for both Han Solo and Indy this time.

I'm not sure I'll bother going to cinema to watch this. It'll be on TV after a year or so.
